The Killer Duo// Mattheo Riddle

Part 30

"He's been telling everyone you two are dating now," said Daphne as I spit out my orange juice

"What?" I said standing up and walking towards Riddle at the end of the table

"You motherfucker" I yelled slapping him "Telling everyone were dating? That's stupid" I said walking away

How could he? I would never date him, he's an imbecile, a douchebag, and so infuriating. Why would he go around saying that anyways?

I stormed through the halls with students going to breakfast looking at me and whispering to the closest person beside them. I slammed my dorm door shut and laid on my bed, I stood up and started pacing the room. I ran my hands through my hair as I stopped when I heard an owl tapping on the window, it was a black owl that reminded me of a dark forest in your nightmares. I opened my window and took the parchment from the owls' claws, I read the parchment and scrunched my face up.

Dear Blackwood,

I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience, I would like to invite you to an outdoor picnic in the Forbidden Forest at 8:30 p.m if you will have my invitation.

Sincerely, Riddle

I cringed at him trying to say sorry, but this picnic could help me get closer to him. Whatever, I'm not going anyways, it's stupid.

I'm standing in the middle of the Forbidden Forest. I honestly don't know why I changed my mind, but as I look around I see bright candlelight from a distance coming closer towards my way. As the candle got closer I realized Riddle was holding the candle and smirking at me,

"You came," he said

"Yes I came," I said

"Follow me," he said walking in front of me going deeper into the forest

"How do I know you won't kill me?" I said

"You don't," he said walking then stopping "Come on Blackwood," he said as I started walking, he led me to a picnic blanket on the forest floor covered in dirt and soil from the howling wind. He snapped his fingers and food appeared in the blanket, he put the candle down and sat down nodding his head to where I was assigned to sit. I sat down and looked at him confused as he drunk a glass of red wine then handed me a glass, he raised his glass as I raised mine then started drinking. He watched me as he drunk out of his cup, I raised my glass over the candlelight and saw the color of the wine had changed into a teal color, poison.

"You have the same task," I said looking at him as his smirk went into a frown

"No," he said looking down at his drink

"Riddle, if you're going to kill me, do better," I said raising my wand at his neck

"If you're going to kill me, do better," he said pointing his wand at my neck

"CRUCIO" a shout came from nearby, as a red light came towards us, we dove out of the way as the spell hit the tree. I stood up and started running, Riddle ran the other way. I kept hearing screaming from a distance as I looked backward. I kept running while looking backward until I ran into a hard chest and fell on top of whoever I ran into. I was about to scream when I felt the persons hand over my mouth,

"Shhhh," he said as I realized it was Riddle, I lied my head on his chest and breathed. I stood up off of him and once he stood up he looked at me, I saw blood running down his head.

"Their gone," he said whispering as we walked back towards the castle

"Who were they?" I asked as he shrugged,

"We have to get you cleaned up, come on," I said leading him to my dorm

"Look at you," he said, I walked into my dorm and to my mirror, I had dirt on my face and clothes

"I don't have blood coming from my head though," I said taking a washrag out of the drawer as he sat on the sink. I ran hot water over the washrag and dabbed it on his wound. He watched me as I brushed his hair out of his face. I got done and looked at him, we stood there for a minute until he slammed his lips into mine and started kissing me. I ran my fingers through his hair as he got off the sink and pushed me up against the wall. I pushed him off of me as I looked at him,

"I hate you," I said

"I hate you, that's what makes it fun," he said as he started back kissing me and I kissed him back. I heard the door open and we stopped,

"Emerald?" I heard Daphne say and I pushed Riddle in the shower and closed the curtain

"Coming," I said opening the bathroom door and walked out

"What happened?" She asked looking me up and down

"I fell" I lied

"Right. Well, guess what?"

"What?"

"Rosier and Astoria broke up," she said looking sad

"Okay?"

"Astoria wants Draco now," she said starting to cry

"Oh honey, well let's go to the kitchen and get you some hot cocoa" I yelled, trying to signal Riddle to leave

I walked Daphne down to the kitchen and she told me everything, I know I should listen but I can't stop thinking about Mattheo. Mattheo, I like that name.
