I would just like to take this moment to say R.I.P to the wonderful, amazing actress, Helen McCory. She was a truly amazing human being and will be missed truly by so many people. I would like to give my condolences to the family also.
Emerald POV
I can't do it, I can't kill him. I can't look him in the eye and do it.
"Draco," I said walking up to him as he looked up at me, he had dark circles under his eyes from not enough sleep and looked like he hadn't slept in days.
"What" he snapped looking back down at the book he was reading
"Come here" I spat grabbing his arm and dragging him to a corner in the common room
"Let go" he growled slapping my hand
"Shut the hell up" I whispered yelled slapping the back of his head
"Fuck off," he said trying to walk away
"I have to kill him," I said which made him stop and turn around
"Who?" He asked confused walking closer
"Riddle" I whispered "The Dark Lord wants me to kill him, I can't do it Draco," I said looking up at him as his eyes went wide
"I had to do mine Emerald, you have to do yours," he said walking away, what a douchbag.
I walked down the empty halls where during the day it is loud and students are hustling to get to class. At night is my favorite though, everyone's too busy worrying about curfew they miss out on the extraordinary stars or the thunder that strikes the earth as it lights up the midnight sky. I walked up to the Astronomy Tower and sat down, my legs falling off the balcony as I look up trying to find constellations in the dreamy night sky. I didn't turn around when I heard someone coming up the steps because I already knew who it was. He sat down beside me and looked up at the sky with me,
"Do you want to be like your father?" I asked him as I turned my body towards him
"I don't know, do I have a choice?" He said meeting my eyes
"Riddle we all have a choice," I said
"Then why are you on the same side as I am?" He asked, meaning at was on The Death Eater side.
"There isn't a good side or The Death Eaters, Riddle"
"Whatever" he grumbled standing up
"Riddle?"
"What?"
"Do you want to open, turn a page, or close your book?" I asked
"The thing is Blackwood, there is no book," he said walking away, leaving me in the cold chilly night air.
I sat in the common room laying on the green velvet sofa reading my book. I was reading my book when Riddle leaned over my head,
"Come to Slughorns Party with me" he demanded as I sat up on my elbows and smirked
"No," I said laying back down and reading my book
"Fine, but I heard Rosier was going with Greengrass," he said
"Which Greengrass?"
"Astoria," he said as I shrugged
"Still a no" I said returning back to my book
"Well, Flint, Creevey, and a lot more boys are going to ask you, just imagine breaking all those hearts," he said walking away
"Fine, I'll go with you," I said smirking behind my book, the plan is going good so far.
"7:00 sharp, be ready," he said walking to the boys' dormitory
"The party isn't until 3 more days," I said, but he was already gone.
3 days later
I smoothed my black mesh dress for Slughorns party and looked in the mirror.
"A little short, but I don't have anything else" I breathed out while fixing my wavy ginger hair.

Emeralds Dress
At 7:01 I heard a knock on my door,
"Coming," I said before walking towards the door "Riddle, your late," I said opening the door before catching my breath. He was in a black tux with a white undershirt on and his tie was not tied.
"You clean up nicely" he smirked at me
"You do too, but your tie is untied," I said pointing out
"Wow, I don't even notice," he said sarcastically "I don't know how to tie one of these idiotic things," he said scoffing
"Come here," I said pulling him by the arm in my dorm and walking over to the mirror, I started tying his tie as I felt him looking down at me, "There," I said smiling at my work while looking at him. He shook his head and smirked
"How did you know how to tie one of these things," he said
"I learned by watching Narcissa tie Draco's ties," I said walking towards the door and exiting
"He's like your brother, I dare say" he followed me down the stairs towards the common room
"Yes, I practically lived at the Malfoy Manor"
"Oh," he said as we stood outside of the party
"You ready?" I asked him as he grabbed my arm gently and locked it with his
"Ready" he affirmed before pushing the door open and all eyes turned towards us.
The night went on with talking about our future and parents, besides Riddle and myself. Slughorns chair screeched across the floor as he stood up,
"I do say, it was a pleasure for having you all here this evening," he said chuckling
"I do say it is getting late, I must excuse myself towards slumber," he said shaking hands with each of us
The night ended with Riddle and I nodding heads to each other and separating ways, this task is harder than I thought.
