"I don't think this is a good idea" Jj admitted

They were now parked just outside Tannyhill. Kie had also thought it was a good idea for them to go there, no one would look for the car there and they needed Sarah.

"I have to talk with him J. I need him to look at me in the eyes and tell me" Blake told him

"I wouldn't do that. Just don't go in there, there's nothing to win" Kie groaned tired of her friend

"It's not always about winning, Kie" Blake snapped "Can you stop being so judgemental for a second and think about how I might feel right now?" she was tired of Kie judging her, she had her own Kook year, she had no place to talk

"Yeah but this is just stupid" the other girl replied

"My ex boyfriend and my brother's best friend killed the Sheriff and his father framed my best friend who is now on the run, Yeah I totally think talking to him is stupid" Blake sarcastically replied "Look Rafe has been there for me a lot of times and for Jack...I just need this okay Kie?" she told her. Blake was really worried about her brother. She hasn't talked to him in hours and he was just clueless about everything going on and hanging out with Kelce and Topper.

"I know this is hard for you Blake, but we don't have time to waste" Kie snapped at her "We need Sarah and then somehow get John b off the island and soon" she explained further

"I know! I'm just as worried as you are!" Blake snapped back at her "I might me joking all the time and shit but...look...my dad is part of this gold rush shit and I don't know what he wants yet and if I didn't have enough to worry with that now this happens. Give me a break" she exclaimed exhausted

Blake had a lot in her place. She always seemed tough and sensible but she had to break some time and that time came.

"Okay girls relax" JJ tried to calm them down "Why don't you go in there for a bit and in a few minutes we get Sarah and leave this place" he asked Blake

"Fine, just five minutes" Blake replied

"Baby, be careful" Jj stopped her

"I will, don't worry" Blake placed a small peck on his
lips

"In five mins we're in!" Pope announced as Blake walked further away from them

"Rafe" Blake called out when she got to his room

"Blake?" the boy came out of the bathroom "What are you doing here?" he asked her confused

"I think you know why" she replied

"He told you" Rafe realised

"Yeah, he did" Blake nodded "At first I didn't believe him. I told myself that you wouldn't be capable of something like that, but then it clicked. You did it for your dad, for the approval you've always seeked for" she told him

"And I finally got it, he told me he loves me, Blake" Rafe admitted to the girl

"He lied to you Rafe" Blake sighed "Sarah will always be his favourite but that's fine, you don't need to be her. You are you but the Rafe I know wouldn't have done that, what happened?" The girl asked him

"I saved my dad, yeah, I saved him" Rafe sttutered. Blake could see the tears butilding up in his eyes.

"John b could go to jail for something he didn't do. Look I don't want you to go either but we both know your dad will get you out, him on the other hand..." Blake trailed

"I can't do it, I can't, I can't" Rafe shook his head a lot of times while walking fast in his room

"Rafe, calm down" Blake put a hand on his shoulder trying to calm him down

The older boy didn't say anything for a while, he just looked into Blake's eyes. He finally calmed down a bit.

"Why do you always choose them?" he blurted out of nowhere

"What?" Blake frowned not knowing what he was talking about

"Sarah chose John b and you chose JJ, why?" Rafe asked her again

"Sarah loves John b and I love all of them, they're my best friends" Blake replied as calm as she could

"Why?... Why them? Why can't anyone love me?" Rafe started panicking again and pacing in his room

"Rafe calm down" Blake went after him "Why are you like this?" she asked hin worried

"Because I love you!" he admitted turning around to face her "I've loved you since we went to sailing classes in middle school and I haven't stop and yet you always choose those damn pogues!" Rafe exclaimed

Blake was speechless. They had dated, yes. But love? That was strong word, they weren't in love. They were too young to know what it was or at least she was.

"Rafe please" Blake pleaded. Now she could clearly see the tears coming from his eyes

The smell of smoke and Ward and Roses's yells interrupted them. That was the signal, she had to go and Rafe knew too. A message on his phone from Topper made him move, John b was at Kelce's. He took his jacket and car keys and headed towards the door. Before going out Esfe turned around and faced Blake with tears coming out of his eyes.

"Please, forgive me" he pleaded crying

"Rafe, don't do it" Blake told him

"I'm sorry" Those were Rafe's last words before going out the door and search for John b himself

Blake had managed to join Kie, Pope and JJ soon but she was still a bit shaken up because of her conversation with Rafe.

"How did it go?" Jj asked her putting both his hands on her face

"I'd rather not talk about it" she said "Not now" her brown eyes met Jj's blue ones and with one nod of his head she knew she was safe, where she wanted to be, in his arms and no one elses.

Blake didn't have time, she knew where John b was and she had to leave quick.

"J, look. I need to go. I'll call you later, tell me where you are, okay?" she rushed

"What? Aren't you coming with us?" he asked

"I need to go with my brother" Blake replied "But I promise, I'll be wherever you are later, J. I promise" she told him honestly

"I hate this" JJ admitted "But I'll call you later" he nodded

"Thanks" she smiled before separating from the boy after a long deep kiss, she was seeing him later.
