"It's not there" John b sighed "Look, just pull the drone up" John b said putting up his hood and going to the side of the boat

"You knew it wasn't going to be there right?" JJ asked Blake who was just keeping a straight face

"The royal merchant is in the continental shelf, it was impossible that the gold hadn't been found" she acknowledged

"Why didn't you say anything?" JJ asked her again

"He was just finishing what his father started and I do believe the gold is somewhere, just not here and I know he will find it" Blake smiled softly looking at John b alone at the side of the boat.

She then went outside to help Kie and Pope pull out the drone while JJ joined John B.

"The gold could be buried, we don't know" Blake heard JJ say

He, Pope and Kie had been arguing for a bit until Blake decided to speak up.

"JJ leave it" she put a hand on his shoulder. Blake knew that John b was stressed and he definitely didn't need more unnecessary pressure

"If it was there, it would've been found on the metal detector, okay? Somebody beat us to it...or it was never there" John b sighed. Blake could see the tears forming in his eyes and she just smiled at him and take her and JJ away from him. John b needed to be alone.

The following day Blake decided to stay home and with the absence of their mother, Jack invited Topper and Rafe.

"Sarah's been stressing all day about the dress for midsummers" Rafe complained talking about his sister

"I know, we facetimed earlier to choose a dress" Blake said taking a sip of her drink

"Oh, so you've already got a dress?" Rafe asked the girl

"Wouldn't you like to know Rafe?" Blake teased him

"Only if you'd like to show me" Rafe smirked making Blake roll her eyes

"Watch it dude!" Jack threw something at Rafe protecting his little sister

It was a sunny summer afternoon and Blake couldn't ask for anything else, she didn't need any Pogue drama that day.

"You're awfully quiet Topper" Blake acknowledged

"Has Sarah said anything about the other day?" He asked

"She just told me what happened, nothing more" The black haired girl replied

"I messed up Woods, I really did" Topper sighed

"No Top, you told her you love her. I don't see whats wrong with that if you really feel it" Blake assured him

"She's just an ungrateful little child" Rafe snickered. It was clear that he was jealous of his sister being his father's favourite. 

"I don't think you did anything wrong, she is the one that should be ashamed" Jack assured the blond boy

"I shouldn't have left" Topper sighed his head in between his hands
