"Hello," a voice called. I opened my eyes and turned toward the voice. I was standing on golden water in the middle of nowhere, and behind me was a demon child floating with a huge dragon flying around behind him.

"Are you... Him?" I asked. There was no way any of this was possible, otherwise.

"Indeed, I am. It's nice to finally meet you, Sparrow," He greeted.

"Wait wait wait... why am I meeting you so early? I'm not at the seven walls? Shouldn't I be in Lambda right now?" I questioned, confused.

"Yes, you are. But at Lambda, during the surgery they just did, they injected my blood into your heart," He replied.

I gasped, thinking rapidly. I looked up at him. "Why does Lambda have your blood, and why'd they inject it into me?" I asked.

"I gave them the blood. And they injected it into you as per my requests."

"Why... would you do that? Do you have anything to do with why I'm in this world?"

"I do. I was the one who transferred you here. Incidentally, you were actually always meant to exist in this universe. But I wanted you to gain knowledge in a friend of mine's universe first."

I looked at him. "Why would you go so far? What is it that you want? And how come the story of this world was in the other one?"

I thought back to all the ambiguous information there was on him.  All I knew is that he's the one who created the promise, and he was considered a god to the demons.

"The story is in your world because I had my friend put it there, so you would know the events of this universe if you didn't exist in it and be able to change it as you wished... as for why I did all this, I won't tell you. Not right now, at least."

I looked down, my mind swirling with the new information. "When can you tell me?" I inquired hesitantly.

"If and when you reforge the promise with me."

"I see. Well, I had planned on doing that anyway, so I guess I can wait. But I'm still confused. Why did you inject your blood into me? What will happen to my body? Was that just so we could have this conversation?"

"The reason I injected my blood into you ties to the reason I brought you to my friend's universe then took you back here, so I won't answer that, and us being able to have this conversation is only possible because until my blood serves as a communication route directly to me, so you don't have to go to the seven walls."

"Wait, so you're saying I can communicate with you any time I want now?"

"No. I have to authorize your entrance, so it's anytime both of us agree to communicate."

"What about my other question? What about my body, what will happen to it now that I have your blood in my veins?"

"You will become half-demon."

I gasped. "Half...demon?" I repeated.

"Yes, half-demon. A hybrid, if you will.  This is only possible because it was my blood that was injected into you."

"This... doesn't make sense. What... is going to happen to me? Do I have to eat... humans?"

"No, not if you don't want to. You'll be like the evil blooded girl, though I don't particularly care for the name."

"I see..." I murmured. "Then, is there anything major that changes because I'm half now?"

"Yes. You now have a god's blood running through your veins, so naturally, there would be benefits." He smirked.
