"I am going to kill him," I said as a matter of factly. We had pulled away from the memory and Regulus breathed heavily, wide eyed.

"What happened after?" He asked bewildered.

"He tortured me until I couldn't remember anything. Then he went back and destroyed everything except the house itself. And the portrait of my parents, it's still there. My parents were buried and no one questioned their deaths. I'm sure Zacharias came up with a intricate lie." I said in a monotone voice.

"I'm sorry," he said once he figured there was nothing else to say.

"It's fine."

"He should die," Regulus said angrily.

"He will, when it's time," I said coldly, promising it to myself.

Regulus nodded. "Why did you let me in your mind like that? I thought you would keep the details to yourself like usual," he said without a drop of accustation or judgement. I knew it was one thing he's always disliked about me, that it's impossibly hard for me to open up.

"Because I didn't think I could say it out loud. And besides, it's you," I shrugged quietly.

"Was it easier not remembering?"

"No —" I shook my head. "Even if I couldn't remember it I carried it with me, every single day. I just couldn't piece it together before."

"Zacharias... he said that you'd —" Regulus hesitated. "Nevermind."

I furrowed my brows but decided not to press him further.

"Eternal light, so you think you have some of that magic in you?" He decided to ask instead.

"It makes sense. But I have no idea how did I get it."

"Do you think Magni knows? If he's here at the school you can finally get some answers from him," Regulus stated.

"I don't know, but your right. He should be prepared to answer shit load of questions."

I went to hang out in Ruby's dorm so Regulus would have some space for himself for awhile. I asked the house elves about the damages and they told me it will be a few days. They had started to do reversible spells on everything.

I still had Regulus's clothes on and even though I had slept many hours more than in a long time, exhaustion radiated off of me. I scribbled down crooked letters while finishing all of my assignments. All it reminded me of was my father, and how his handwriting was similar. I'd burned his notebook during my outburst. And the pictures Regulus had collected me of my parents. Another thing to mourn for. I hope the reversible spells will bring them back.

"You alright?" Ruby asked once she noticed I wasn't paying attention to the textbook anymore.

"Yeah these assigments are just killing me," I said and then understood the irony behind my words and cringed. We hadn't talked about what had happened with Ruby.

"You know — Just because I haven't asked... It doesn't mean I don't care. You can talk to me you know? Even if we haven't really talked about serious stuff like that, I wan't you to be able to. But if you don't want to, that's fine too, I don't want to push you," Ruby rambled slightly.

I smiled at her bittersweetly. "I know."

"So — do you? Want to talk about it?"

"Some things are better left unsaid, but, I appriciate your consern. I'll manage this on my own, but there is something I want to ask you about," I bit my cheek.
