"Hey guys were gonna be late are we almost ready?" Moon shouts tying her boots up
"Remember guys it's a snow maze, it'll be cold as excepted so go prepared" Sam announces
"Let's get this show on the road babydoll" Eli places his hand on my shoulder caressing as he walks away
I stand up walking towards the sink to wash my last dish in this cabin, the vacation had its twists and turns. Don't regret anything, or so I think of as of now, the cold was appreciated, the folks were very much argumentative but I wouldn't have want to spend it with anyone else. I got my perfect gift, with its sides. I got someone.
"Why don't you tell him today" Moon sneaks up for behind me
"Tell who what" I laugh as I scrub the mug getting the coffee stains out
"Hawk of course, oh come on..the boy definitely likes you back" Moon looks the other way
"Yea as if" I look over my shoulder to see Eli and Miguel talking
"As if what? Mia..Hawk hasn't gotten into any physical altercations, suspended or has just lost his shit ever since you guys been studying or whatever you two do" Moon explains
"I bet I had nothing to do with that" I ignore her commentary
"Do it or you leave me no choice" Moon intimidated me with her eyeing me the way she was
"What's that supposed to mean" I get worried at what Moon was proposing
"Nothing, you know i'm joking with you" Moon leans in giving me a peck on the cheek as she walks away
I ignore what she had said earlier and finally rinse out all the soap from the mug I was scrubbing hard enough to get the stains off the mug.
"You're with me" Eli calls out from the foot of the stairs reaching down for the bags everyone had placed
"I'll be out in a second" I let him know as I am still shoeless and coat-less
I walk over to we're Moon and Sam were exchanging words to get my coat and snow boots. I soon interrupt what is being said to one another.
"What exactly do I say?" I ask as i'm putting on my coat one arm at a time
"Tell who what?" Sam's voice filled with excitement as she raised her two eye brows
"Hawk dummy.." Moon rolls her eyes at Sam
"So you're gonna confess your feelings to him?" Moon asks for reassurance
"Not that I want to but I think this could go well" I eek
"Let's get going" Eli grabs his keys from the pot next to the door on the table
"Sam i'll follow you" Eli shouts as he throws all the bags in the trunk which Miguel and Chris helped with
We all settle in and get ready to leave to the maze. Everyone is in their corresponding car, Sam starts pulling out the drive way, while Yasmine follows her, leaving Eli and I leaving last. Eli's rear view mirror was facing directly at the house which slowly started peeking away as Eli started pulling out.
"How'd you like the trip" Eli places his hand on the shift stick
"It was perfect" I smile at him
"Yea? I enjoyed it too" Eli let's out a little laugh as he side eyes me
We had been driving for about 10 to 15 minutes, on the way down the mountain onto the town where we all went shopping. Seeing the very small town about a street long with small vendors. The aesthetically pleasing to the eye place was soon going to be behind us.
"Give me your hand" Eli excuses my thoughts
"Why" I laugh
"Just give it to me" Eli's hand is reached out to receive mine
I place my hand on top of his, Eli puts my hand on the shift stick while he positions his hand on top of mine cupping it.
"Ready" Eli pushes the lever up
"For what Eli" Worrying is taking over my voice and emotions
Eli looks at me deeply into my eyes, and has a cocky smirk placed on his face. His blue eyes really stood out to me for some reason, his golden skin really made them just pop. With his hair due changed he just looked so much more...Eli Moskowitz
"This" Eli presses his foot on the gas revving his engine loudly while Yasmines car is at a good distance away for Eli to speed off to
"Oh my god!!" I shout and close my eyes tightly as Eli sprints his car down the icy road
I tighten my hand around the ball of the stick while his hand is still cupping mine keeping me somewhat calm yet the sound from the loud engine tells me to be otherwise. Soon the very obnoxious sound of the car fades away as we start to catch up to Yasmines car.
"Open your eyes Mia" Eli demanded
I fail to do so
"Cmon open those almond eyes" Eli chuckles letting go of my hand
"Never do that again" I scowl
"You enjoyed that, just how you enjoyed last night" Eli says proudly
"You were a lost doll when I was holding you last night" Eli won't stop showing off
I get more red than I have ever with his commentary, the only thoughts running through my mind is that if I confess these feelings. There may stand a chance of me being humiliated for the rest of my entire years remaining being laughed at for getting rejected by the one and only Eli Hawk Moskowitz.
I decide to text Moon and Sam that I may have ever considered of making a terrible mistake at the maze.
