Chapter 6

I entered the room, where the director, casting director, and some other people sat. I handed the sheet music to the pianist and my very small resume to the casting director,
"Hi my name is Alexis Sherrod, and I will be reading for the role of Beca Mitchel." I read a few lines, and after messing up a line, I blacked out not remembering what happened.

I walked back out to Lea's car, 

"So how was it?" I looked up from my hands,

"It was fine." Lea looked at me,

"What happened?" I looked back at my hands,

"I messed up one of the lines, and my voice cracked during the song." Lea hugged me,

"I'm sure whatever happened, they'll take it into careful consideration. Now I have to get you to Fox corporate offices for that duet you have to do." I nodded, as Lea handed me a thermos,

"Thanks." Lea nodded, then began to drive. I pulled my phone out, then asked Lea, "Am I allowed to talk to Eve about the audition now?" Lea shook her head,

"Sorry, Lex, but not until you get the job." I nodded and looked at my phone,

Me: How's rehearsal?

Eve: Chaotic.

Me: How? Did one of the jocks break the set again?

Eve: God, no. Do you know that sophomore you went against for Veronica?

Me: Which one? Cause there were two.

Eve: I think her name is Ash. Well, she came into rehearsals today and demanded to see you, and punched Luke in the face when he said you weren't at rehearsals.

Me: Wtf, is Luke okay?

Eve: Yeah, he's got a black eye, but it should be healed before the show opens.

Me: Good, JD doesn't need a black eye.

Lea looked over,

"Boy drama?" I shook my head,

"Worse, this girl who demanded to be Veronica interrupted rehearsals and punched my boyfriend in the face when he said I wasn't there." Lea sighed,

"That sucks, is Luke going to be alright?" I nodded,

"Yeah, the black eye should be gone before the show opens." Lea hugged me,

"Good, now let's go you have a duet to sing." I nodded and walked into Fox Corporate Offices
