We were never just friends,
So don't tell me that we were.
We had too much going on,
We worked too well together,
To be 'just friends'.
You can't convince me you didn't love me,
Because I saw your face,
Your eyes, your blush,
When you thought I wasn't looking.
We were never just friends,
What we had was so much more,
We were connected in a way that even we didn't understand,
We'd been together since the beginning of time,
And I'll keep believing that we'll be together for the rest of eternity,
No matter what shape, form or entity,
We will burn on.
Because our love ran deeper than what could be seen at face value,
It's a bond stronger than life itself.
