A surprise that ended better then thought

Chase POV:

I had missed my girlfriend of 8 months bad, it had been almost 4 since I had been able to see her face to face. And she was going through so much with getting on this new race team and having to build this pretty much custom race bike herself. Most nights when we were facetiming she was in her barn working on the bike till well past midnight. And on top of that she was crazy worried about me since I kept getting hurt and she couldn't be there. She had planned to come to a few of my races but she had ended up needing surgery which I couldn't come help her through. I hated seeing her try and hide that she was in pain, but just told me that me calling her was what made things a lot easier. But I had enough of not seeing her so on my off weekend I decided to surprise her at one of her bigger races and be her support for once. As I pull into the track I just take everything in, I had never been to a flat track race in person. Everything was so much different but similar than what I was use to. I park and get out and looked around to try and find the Royal Enfield tent.

After a bit I find it and start walking that way only to see her and her dad arguing over something. I keep back seeing as I didn't think her dad liked me much and if he was already ticked off I didn't want to add to it and make it worse for her. Thinking it would calm down in a few minutes but I was wrong, he was getting into her face, calling her every degrading name someone could be called making me watch in shock. But what broke my heart was watching her shrink into herself, and just sit there and take it. I could tell she didn't fight back like she would against anyone else was because she believed him. It send a spark of anger through me and before I could stop myself I walk to the tent and say,

"I think that's enough, don't you think?"

Not just their heads but everyone else on the teams heads snap towards me in shock. But my eyes only focused on Sarah, and the way a smile was slowly forming on her face. She jumped up and practically ran to me and jumped into my arms. I pulled her in close and squeezed her tight. I could hear her dad muttering under his breath as he walked away, and I just held her tighter as she stiffened as he walked past us. I pull back slightly and smile at her and say,

"Hey, hope you like your surprise."

The way she beamed back up to me warmed my heart, she nodded and spoke,

"Yeah, I really do! But how did you get in? They got this pretty locked up."

I look over at the head of the team and say,

"You should thank Amanda for that."

She spun around as her eyes grow wide and asks,

"Wait, you made this happen?"

Amanda just laughs and says,

"Of course, I'd do anything to make my girl happy. You know that goof."

She grinned in thanks before facing me again and hesitated before leaning up and kissing me. I kiss back and it felt like home, we pull back slightly and she lays her head on my shoulder and I lay my head on hers. It felt amazing to have her back into my arms. After a few minutes she pulls away and says,

"Well, we got what, 10 minutes till riders meeting right?"

A few team members confirm and she looks at me and asks,

"Wanna come with me? I want to put on my under armour shorts so I can come back and just throw my leathers on."

I nod my head and she goes and grabs her shorts and comes back, she grabs my hand while lacing our hands together and we take off. We walked in silence but it was comfortable. As we reach the bathrooms I let go of her hand and she goes in to change, coming back out she walks up to me and lays her arms loosely around my shoulders causing my hands to come up to her hips. She sighs and softly says,
