Chapter Eighteen

"The moon's eclipsing!" I gasped.

"What?" Niall looked up at the moon. "Wow."

I was hysterical. I'd never seen an eclipse. I didn't even know there was going to be one that night. If the clear night wasn't perfect enough, now there was a full lunar eclipse. It was a beautiful blood red and really big. I'd seen pictures of lunar eclipses, but nothing compared to the real thing. The pictures didn't do the beauty justice. Niall held me and whispered sweet things into my ear as my crying eyes stared up at the burgundy moon.

9:00 came and everyone except for me was complaining of hunger. I finally agreed to stop looking at the blood moon through the massive telescope and we went for hot chocolate at a nearby coffee shop.

"Actually, can I have an espresso?" Finn asked.

"Ooh, yea me too." I smiled.

"Sure." The waitress said. "Everyone else good with hot chocolate?"

"Actually I'll have espresso too." Eleanor said.

"Okay so three espressos?"

"Four." Caspar said.

"Raise your hand if you want espresso." I said. (The "raise your hand if" technique seemed to work the best when it came to decision-making for us).

The hands of Finn, Caspar, Eleanor, and myself, plus Zayn, Marcus, Alfie, Alex, Emma, Cher, Jesy, and Jade all shot into the air.

The waitress counted.

"Okay. So twelve espressos and eighteen hot chocolates?"

Everybody nodded.

"Okay. I'll be right back." She smiled and walked away.

Conversations started up in groups of two or three.

"I can't believe there's a lunar eclipse tonight." I said.

Niall had his arm around me and on my hip.

"I'm glad you got to see it." He said.

I smiled and kissed him.

"So do you guys have any plans for tomorrow?" Matt asked.

"We go home tomorrow." Niall told him.

"We do?" I said.

"Yea."

"Like my home or your home?"

"Your home."

I frowned. I didn't want to go home. Not yet.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because that's how long we booked the trip for. Eight days. We leave on the ninth."

"Who's coming back with us?"

"Just me, you, your sister, and your friends."

"They're all my friends."

"Just the friends who came with us here."

"Wait, you didn't say the rest of the boys."

"They're staying here."

"Why?" Tears started forming in my eyes.

"We have a tour starting in a couple days and it starts in London."

"Why are you coming back?"

"I couldn't put you on a plane by yourself."

"You have before." I said under my breath.
