I begin to freak, not knowing what to do. Is Nick trying to help me or kill me? What is he doing here?

Just as if Nick answers my thoughts, he whispers in my ear.
"When I let go of you, run!"

My heart is in my throat. I do not know whether or not I should listen to Nick, after all, he knows too much about my life and I do not want to answer any questions.

But I am about to be killed.

I gasp as Nick lets go of me, meaning I must act. It seems as if my thinking has taken too long, as Nick pulls my off my knees and onto my feet. He then pushes me away from the others and I begin to make my escape...

My legs take a while to kick into gear as I am in too much shock to want to do anything. Soon enough, I am running, escaping what cruelty I was close to witnessing and experiencing. The fact that my hands are tied behind my back makes running a nightmare, however, my desperation is what keeps me going...

Thomas! What about Thomas?!

I come to an abrupt stop and turn my head, still seeing Thomas in agony on the ground. Suddenly, I am pulled by a force that is pulling me by my shirt away from Thomas. I stumble for a few steps before regaining my balance and continue running. Nick is yelling something at me, however, I have no idea as to what he is trying to tell me. All that matters now is for me to get away from this place.

We run over a small crest before sprinting down a hill for a black Audi. Nick hurls a rock at the window, which then shatters the window and sets off a blaring car alarm. I can hear bellowing not far behind us, the voices most likely being those of the kidnappers.

Nick releases his tight grasp on me and bolts even faster for the car, unlocking the car door from the inside before almost pulling it off its hinges. He beckons me to run faster, even though the car is within reaching distance. Nick pushes me inside, causing me to hit my head on the dashboard and land on a million shards of glass. Nick then slams the door, before darting around the car to the driver's side, which is still locked. Wincing in agony, I swiftly slump over for the lock and unlock the door, before pulling the handle to open the door. Next thing I know, Nick is next to me in the drivers seat, shoving the keys into the ignition. Who knows where he got the keys!

I look outside and am startled when I see the kidnappers only a few steps away from the door. Nick starts the car and revs the engine, before planting his foot on the accelerator. The tyres squeal before car lurches forward and the men are left with Thomas' life in their hands.
