I turned around on hearing a familiar voice from behind. "Jungkook?" Was all that came out of my mouth. Jungkook nodded and sat on the swing beside mine.
"What's that?" He asked and pointed at the big brown envelope that I held. I hesitantly pulled it closer to me and answered him, "It's nothing. Just some papers."
"I saw you."
It made me feel uneasy. I started to panick a bit. What did he exactly see?
"What? You saw... what?" I asked him. "I saw you coming out of the hospital. They are sort of medical stuff, aren't they?" He asked and eyed the papers. He already know so I had no choice but to be honest now.
"Yeah, you're right. But I ain't gonna tell you anything more than that." I mentioned before he could ask me anymore unanswerable questions. But his response was rather unexpected, he chuckled.
"I don't need to know." He said.
It can only mean two things - he's not interested in knowing or he already knows.
Logically, the first one seems opt but my heart says otherwise.
"I guess you're right. Why will you be curious?" I rolled my eyes. He's ways cold, isn't he?
I didn't notice it was getting dark. "Shouldn't you be going home already?" He asked. It was as if he read my mind. I jolted up from the swing. I was a bit taken aback when he stood up as well. "You're leaving too?"
"Didn't know you had short term memory loss." He said and shoved his hands in his pocket. Then the realisation made me let out a soft chuckle. He's headed the same way, isn't he?
I heard him chuckle as well. "Didn't know Jeon Jungkook laughs." I said sarcastically.
"There's a lot you don't know about me."

Jimin : So first of all, everyone bought gifts?
Taehyung : Long ago.
Lisa : I even lost the track of how many I bought. 💁
Jimin : Good going kiddoz.
Taehyung : Kiddoz, duh.
Lisa : Idk why the guy who was the last one to get added in the plan is leading us now.
Jimin : You should be thankful that I am here.
Jimin : If everything was in your hands then the party would be thrown at a farmhouse named as "GUCCI".
Taehyung : That wasn't a bad idea tho. Idk why you rejected it.
Jimin : So who's gonna tell him?
Lisa : Don't mind him, he still follows some of his planet's traits.
Jungkook : Can anyone tell me why on the earth am I ready total bullshit for last ten minutes?
Taehyung : Maybe becoz you have the ability to read ?
Jungkook : I have the ability to kill aliens as well.
Jimin : aNyWaYs, did you buy a gift for Y/n, Jungkook?
Jungkook : Do I have to?
Taehyung : I guess you have the ability to do so. So yeah... You gotta.
Jungkook : Don't you have the ability to go back to your damn planet?
Lisa : Will you guys shut this whole ability shit?!

I unlocked the door and was instantly welcomed by my mom's worried and angered face. I immediately hid the papers behind me and tried to act normal. "Where are you coming from?" She directly asked.
"Just went to the park, I guess." I said and removed my shoes and passed by her. "You are a terrible liar, Y/n. Just give up already. There's no way out there to know what you are desiring. For once, just listen to me and give up already. It's for your best."
She sounded tired. Well, of course, I myself am tired now. I sighed. "I'll not stop until I know what's my right to know. All these years, you've been telling me it's sad and terrible and I guess, those years were enough for me to prepare myself. I'm prepared. It's you who have to give up and tell me already."
"I beg you to forget about it. At least for tomorrow. It's your birthday, Y/n. Just for one day, be nice to me. Be a ideal daughter to me and I'll be your ideal mom. Just for one day, let's enjoy ourselves." She pleaded. The sadness in her eyes was hard to ignore. I found myself sniffling.
I ran to my room after saying-
"O-okay."
