Part 9

I pulled the pillow near and covered myself properly with the blanket as the cold wind from the window blew on my face. I was awake but not fully. I wanted to sleep more. Slowly, I drifted to sleep again.

I didn't realise when I started to dream.

Walking down the hill, I found beautiful birds chirping everywhere as if they were not afraid of my presence. The soft light green colored grass and the transparent water of the lake was an amazing view to see. I looked up in the sky. Shades of red, orange and yellow were mixed with each other in a beautiful way. The sun looked so big and close as if I reach out my hand, I'll be able to touch it.

I walked farther only to find myself on the bridge. Bridge? Lake? Sun? Isn't it that picture?

Then suddenly a bird sat on my shoulder, it's beck extremely close to my ear. The mouth of the bird opened but chirping was definitely not what I heard.

The bird started continuously beeping as if there was speaker fit in it's throat. My eyes starting opening when the sound started seeming real. So real.

Opening my eyes, I realised.

My goddamn phone was giving me continuous notifications. I sighed and grabbed it. Times for birthday wishes.

Just how excited I am.

I opened my phone. Messages and messages and messages.

7 unread messages from Lalalalisa.

5 unread messages from Alien.

3 unread messages from Jimin.

1 unread message from Jungkook.

My eyes furrowed on the last notification. Did he message me to wish me or is there any other random reason? I tapped on the first notification. That was from Lisa. I smiled as soon as I read her messages.

I kept smiling and opened the next notification. Taehyung always wished birthdays in the best way possible. I mean the funniest way possible.
