Chapter 18

LIYANA POV

"Yessss!!! My bitch going on a date!! FINALLY!" Devin screams.

I roll my eyes.

Today is the day of my date and I forced Devin and Milo over for emotional support.

"Girl what do you mean by finally? I've dated before." I state.

Milo then butts in, "Steven doesn't count."

I grimace.

Steven basically was the stuffed animal on my bed at home.

"Ok I guess y'all are right" I laugh.

This made me realize. I NEVER HAD A DATE BEFORE!!

I start panicking.

"Oh my god I don't know what to wear!!!" I screech.

I then start running to my closet and pulling everything out.

I hear Milo and Devin laugh.

I'm sitting in a chair as Devin straightens my hair and Milo lays on my bed scrolling through his phone.

"Liya don't forget about us now when y'all start dating, our heart wouldn't be able to take it." Devin falsely cries.

I roll my eyes. So dramatic.

"Ehh I won't really care." Milo shrugs.

Devin then throws a comb at him which makes him yelp.

"You are the main one that should NOT be talking you crybaby!" She yells.

I laugh at that because one time Milo cried because we accidentally left him alone at school when I was sick and Devin was on vacation with family.

Milo smacks his lips a looks away.

At that moment the doorbell rings.

And at the same time Devin burns the kitchen in the back of my head.

"Gottttdamnnn!" I hiss.

Devin winces, "Sorry I got scared."

I look out the window and I see that it's Dallas.

"I gotta go guys, thanks for everything!!" I yell as I go to the door.

"Good luck hoeee!!" Devin yells back at the same time Milo says, "Don't fuck it up!"

I giggle as I open the door to reveal Dallas in all of his glory. Lord.

"Hey" Dallas says as his cheeks become red. "You look amazing."

I smile,"You don't look too bad yourself D."

He holds out his hand,"Shall we?" He asks.

I nod my head,"We shall." I then put my hand in his.

"So where are we going?" I ask.

He glances at me then back to the wheel,"It's a surprise."

I huff.

I then see us pull up to a lake.

Not just any lake, but the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

"Wow." I saw in awe.

He stops the car then stares at me.

I see a lift of his lip as he steps out and comes over to open my door.

I give him a 'thank you' before he starts leading us so a spot near the lake.

I then notice that as we make our way over, there is a picnic set up with little foods and even these cute little wine glasses.

I look at Dallas and he starts blushing while scratching his neck,"I know I know, it's not great is it? I'm sorry we could do whatever you want! I should've just asked you first before I-" I cut him off.

"I love it." I smile.

His shoulders sag in relief.

I laugh a little as he starts blushing even more.

I kiss his cheek and walk to sit down.

I look up at him expectantly as he just stands there staring at me.

"Are we gonna eat or what?" I giggle.

His eyes widen as he takes his spot next to me.

I smile.

We sat there enjoying ourselves by watching the nature, talking about any and everything, and we even played a little board game that he so happened to bring.

I am glad to say that this is the best first date I have ever had.

It started to get dark as we made our way back. We decided to get ice cream along the way.

Dallas pulls up to my house and he parks.

We sit there for a bit as I finish up my ice cream and listen to the light music in the background.

I feel him look at me so I meet his gaze.

"Yes?" I question.

"I-uh it's nothing" he shakes his head.

I smile,"Come onnn, what's up?"

He smiles,"I had a really eventful evening with you today and I-uh yea" he says shyly.

I giggle.

"I really enjoyed myself too, can't wait until next time." I say as I wink.

He looks surprised before giving a big grin.

I shake my head laughing.

"I should head in now before I'm caught for being out this late." I say.

He nods his head as he comes to open my door.

I get out and as I start walking to my door I turn around to see Dallas standing there.

He said "🧍🏼‍♂️"

I roll my eyes jokingly as I walk up to him and give him a quick peck to his lips.

"Bye D." I smile as I walk inside.

As I make my way into the house, I peek out the window.

I see Dallas standing there with his hand to his lips in a daze.

I blush as I walk to my room.

I throw myself into my bed and sigh.

I start smiling as I squeal and take my phone out to FaceTime Devin and Milo.

Heyyy y'all I am SO SORRY!!! For not posting as much as I use to.

I haven't been having any ideas on what to write and I have been incredibly busy with essays, work, practice, anddddd being a senior in high school.

I'm going to try to do better and y'all could even yell at me and tell me to UPDATE!!
