Clay POV.
I ran desperately up the stairs and into the main room of the mansion where Noah was waiting for me. He was about to speak but I cut him off, "any sign of George?"
The butler just shook his head "no sir. But we do have people looking."For some reason George ran off again, but he knew I wouldn't hurt him, ever. I just wanted to make sure he was safe, that's all.
Noah's voice pulled me from my thoughts, "master Clay, sir, don't you think you are being a little... desperate?"
At his words I shot him a glare. I am not desperate, I am looking after him like a good friend would.
That is what I had told myself constantly.I sighed, and pulled out my phone before texting Zak.
Hey, can I have Darryl's number? I need to ask him a question.
No need for his number
Darryl is right here.Really? 😏
Oh stfu,
here I'll pass him the phoneI assumed that he had passed the phone over to Darryl so I asked him my question.
Hey Darryl?
Yes?
Can U tell me where George is on find my phone?
Sure one sec.
It says he is in ur house still.
Alright, Thanks.
No problem, C U tonight
I pocketed my phone and looked up to Noah who was trying to read my expression. "George is still in the building somewhere."
Noah's face seemed to tense up, before relaxing slightly, "that's good, I'm assuming I should tell your guards it's a ceasefire."He looked up at me and I nodded, but then disappeared down the hall as he just stood there. I began walking down all the long hallways, sticking my head into all of the massive rooms and calling out to him, hoping for an answer.
Once I had cleared the first floor I climbed up to the second and repeated the process.
George POV.
The book I was reading had almost finished when I saw Clay's flash Lamborghini pull up in front of the mansion, and I sighed out in annoyance and exhaustion knowing I couldn't finish the book. I shut it, while keeping note of the page number and I turned off my music, so I could hear the blond downstairs better.
He sounded angry, but it wasn't his place to be. Clay was treating me like property, and he was keeping me here like a prisoner.
He had no right to do any of this.I heard the blond walking around downstairs as I scoped around the library for a better hiding spot, eventually finding one that was almost completely hidden from everyone's view.
The double doors of the library creaked open and I heard the tapping of the blond's shoes as he walked over the wooden floor, I tried to keep silent as he walked through aisles of books.
Clay must have known I was in here, I practically lived in the school library and so it seemed obvious that I would be in the library at his home. As he walked over to the far corner, I began creeping towards the doors, maybe I could run off.
I heard his playful voice, "oh George~" he had clearly expected me to make some sort of noise in response, but I didn't. When I was probably around 15 feet from the door when Clay's butler Noah stepped in.
He saw me instantly and smirked slightly before calling out to the blond. "Master Clay, I found him, he is right here!"
That damn snitch.Clay could be heard turning and running, and I managed to push past the butler and start running with about a 20 second gap between us.
However, the blond was definitely faster and started to catch up.He persued me as I ran downstairs, and to the guest room he'd given me before sitting the door and leaning against it. Seconds later I heard Clay's fists colliding with the door and him huffing in frustration, but part of me knew he enjoyed that chase which just weirded me out more.
"George come out." He instructed, pushing against the door, causing it to move and inch so I could see his green eyes staring into mine.
I couldn't decided whether his face showed a smirk or a scowl, or maybe it was a strange mixture of both.Clay couldn't more the door any further, and I sighed in frustration "Can't you leave me alone."
"Why were you hiding from me?"
I ignored his question, but then he repeated it and his glare told me I should definitely answer."Because, you are very clingy. It's way too unnatural seeing as before this week we had only talked half a dozen times."
"We had slept with eachother though," the blond pointed out.
"I was drunk!" I defended myself, and the volume of my voice made the blond step back in slight suprise."Well... That's fine then." Clay stood up from the other side of the door and backed away. "I'd just like to tell you some of my friends are coming over at about 7, Darryl should be coming too." He explained, before turning and walking down the hall.
God Clay was so complicated.
He was overprotective and didn't really understand personal space. But he also seemed kind and caring.
It was absolutely fucking amazing how different he acted at his home compared to school.
