Cherishing his presence,
in the awkward silence.
Hugging him from behind,
all-day, he is on her mind.
Wishing him with a smile,
lost for a while.
He holds her hands and hugs her tight,
not wanting her out of his sight.
She smiles and pulls his cheeks,
spending every moment with him is what she seeks.
Her smile showed ecstasy,
but her eyes seemed sleepy.
Are you tired he asked,
she nods and to hide her sleepiness tried hard.
He thought of picking her,
and put her on the bed, in the sheets to curl.
He thought of sitting beside,
watch her in her sleep and the smile she tries to hide.
But he gets pushed on the bed,
gets a hug and a kiss as she snuggles her head.
She looks at him and asks if they can stay that way,
he kisses her forehead and obliges with silence as they lay.
After a while, she looks at him,
sweet silence and lights dim.
A smile on his lips and his eye closed,
he holds her tighter as he dozed.
She mutters she loves him so much,
an angel like him, she never met such.
He comes closer and murmurs in her ear,
how much he loves her and how she is so kind and dear.
She boops his nose,
he shakes his head as they lay close.
She puffs her cheeks, and he kisses,
his presence every day how much she misses.
He says how every talk etches in his heart,
as she snuggles in his shirt.
He tells how he manages to love her more every time,
and she says forever you're mine.
He kisses her and caresses her hair,
And they sleep surrounded by the love they share.
