4:30 pm

I usually walk home to school. I always try to avoid riding the bus. I feel uncomfortable surrounded by so many teenagers in a crammed bus.

There's one person from my neighbourhood I know who walks his way home too. Haruto. I guess he feels the way I do about riding busses or maybe he has reasons of his own. Nobody knows.

"Y/N!" I jolted as I heard my name being called. I turned around and saw Jeongwoo panting. I smiled at him as a response.

"Can you please help me study for our biology test tomorrow. If I don't get your help, I'm dead meat," he told me.

"Uhm, I mean I'm not that good but if you need my help then-"  "Can you count me in too?," Haruto interrupted me. "Promise me you'll pay me back if I agree to teach you both," I said and took advantage of my situation. "Deal," they both said in unison.

With two boys walking beside me, my walk back home wasn't so lonely. It was rather enjoyable. The conversations we had on our way home were so absurd.  I laughed so many times. It might even be the most I've laughed this week.

We reached my house. Nobody was home, as usual. My parents don't get off work until late in the evening or even sometimes, at night.

We all went inside my bedroom and started studying our asses off just as we should.

Two solid hours have passed by when Haruto spoke, "Can we take a break or something? Or else my head is going to explode."  "I agree, Why don't we play a game," Jeongwoo suggested.

"Truth or dare?" Haruto said. "Classic" I shot back.
Jeongwoo looks very interested. "I've got lots of questions myself," He announced.
