The sound of pots and pans clanking in the kitchen is what woke Geo up fourteen minutes earlier than his alarm. Loud complaining and scolding is what made him sit up, rolling his eyes at his mother's dramatic antics so early in the morning.
"I gotta move out." He grumbled to himself, laying back down in his bed fighting with his blanket until it covered him completely. Almost falling back to sleep, his rest was halted again by loud songs coming from his phone. The sounds from the kitchen had long quieted down— no way this could be anyone but Geo's mother telling the house what was wrong now.
