"Lorenzo, let's grab a drink tonight." Liam says, as he bounces excitedly.

This boy acts like a 10 year old, on crack.

"No, I have a dinner tonight." I should not have to explain myself, but Liam would've most likely thrown a temper tantrum.

"With who, I'm your only friend. Have you been cheating on me?" He makes his eyes droop as he's trying to fake looking sad.

"No, it's Elara's parents. I've told you about Vince and Violet before."

Do I know why they invited me over? Not really, it was most likely a 'thank you.'

I don't even know why I said yes to going, I could have declined it, but once again the word 'yes' flew out of my mouth before I could say no.

His eyes light up very quickly, "Elara Micheals?" He questions, his face wore a bright smile.

How does he know Elara? Is she the girl he talks about all the time?

No, that's Sarah.

"Yes, do you know her?" I ask, while tapping my ballpoint pen on my desk.

Liam has been in my life for a long time. His parents saved me from many things.

The first memory I have is my father beating me or watching him beat my mom. It still haunts me.

A man who hits women and children, are too scared to fight a real man, so they pray on this who are considered 'weak'.

After Years of abuse my father finally pushed the line and accidentally killed my mom.

He was arrested, and before I was put into foster care Liams parents took me in. I was thirteen when my parents were taken away.

Therefore I was a extremely troubled child, I hide my past the best I can. I hate pity and when you tell people that you've been abused that's what you get, pity.
