This was one of the rare times and it took a lot of convincing on Coach Brian's part, well not really because he thought that it was well deserved and so you decided to give Yuzuru the best off days ever because he truly deserved it. So ever so slowly sneaking from his death-like grip on your waist you get up and proceed to make a nice breakfast for him, you decided on a traditional Japanese breakfast. It was a bit difficult since it was all new to you but for him, it was worth going through all the trouble. You even turned off his alarm in order for him to sleep in more.
After an hour, a Japanese breakfast was spread onto the table. You then go to wake up the sleeping beauty surrounded by pooh plushies. Your mind begins to wander back to the day you both met, you're a journalist who was covering the Sochi 2014 Winter games and was tasked to interview him, it was successful but he really took a shine to you and vice versa and at the closing ceremony, you appeared yet again and he decided to ask for contact and the rest was history after that. Your fingers grazing softly at his flawless skin in silent admiration.
"Wake up, ZuZu. It's time to seize the day", you muse softly waiting for the male to open his eyes.
Yuzuru's eyes slowly wake up and take in his surroundings and he instantly goes into panic mode knowing he has practice today and his alarm didn't go off.
"Y/N why didn't you wake me up, I'm late for training. Brian is going to be so mad.", the man says in a distressed state looking for his things.
"Yuzuru, please relax. Brian gave you a few well-deserved off days. He and I both decided that you needed time for yourself. You're always training and striving for self-perfection and that's amazing but take it from me, you deserved to have a little fun and be young.", I say with a small smile yet a voice full of concern for the man in front of you.
"Please, have a little fun for me. let's make these days fun for both of us. I know I've been stressed with the number of deadlines for the station.'', you say exasperated.
"So get up and dressed for breakfast because after that we going to the amusement park.", you say excitedly.
Yuzuru enters to see you sitting at the table with a full-on Japanese breakfast and the glow that reaches his face is so adorable.
"You did all this for me?! It makes me so happy!", Yuzuru says giving you a big hug squeezing you tight.

"It's the least I can do hun, a Lil bit of home is always good", you respond in content.
After he says his thanks in Japanese you both dug into the food and you truly did surprise yourself with how it tasted and you both proceeded to talk and share cute moments with each other.
Time skip
After breakfast and getting dressed we were both on our way to the amusement park. Since your careers don't give you much time to spend together, planning Yuzuru's off day gave you the perfect excuse to have some days for yourself as well. Yuzuru comes out in his outfit, and you couldn't help but stare at how different he looks outside of his training clothing.

After arriving at the Wonderland Amusement Park, you pulled Yuzuru with a strength you didn't know you had and pulled him towards the rides. Knowing he does a lot of tough techniques on a daily, a few rollercoasters wouldn't be too tough for him. While waiting in line, you both talked about your lives for the past few weeks while you were away from each other. You told him of your various news stories and he regaled you his training hijinks. I t was not long after the rollercoaster ride, you both went on another.

You both spent the entire day at the park going on rides, winning prizes at booths, and even eating a bit of junk food but we kept that between us, and Yuzuru even managed to win you a huge stuffed dog plush.

Overall it was a fun day full of laughs, fun, and adoration between you both. Despite different careers, the commitment and care you have for him and vice versa always shines through and you wouldn't want it any other way. You would do everything to keep him safe and happy.
You'll always be there for him and you couldn't wait for another day of fun memories with your champion.
