" I'll give you guys a second " The doctor walks out leaving us both in silence.
" You're pregnant..... " Nikki repeats. I stare up at him searching for some clarification. He smiles widely.
" You're pregnant this is amazing, this is all I ever wanted with you, our own little family " He moves my hair back from my face. I smile weakly.
Do not get me wrong i'm so happy that this is happening, like Nikki said our own little family but it's hard to get excited when you've got a massive headache plus your right shoulder throbbing in pain.
" Sophia? " I break out of thought with Nikki waving his hands in my face.
" Are you not happy ? " His smile falls.
" No I am....It's just hard to put a smile on when i'm in agony " I give a smile.
" Come on let's get you home to rest baby " He kisses me softly.

We make it home, the second we opened the door Tom was sat on the stairs waiting for us.
" Oh thank goodness you're alright " He sighs.
" I saw the note Nikki left I nearly got a heart attack "
" I'm okay Tom just need to be more careful when i'm driving " I laugh fixing the sling they put my shoulder in.
" Come on love i'll make you a hot whiskey to numb that pain " He smiles. I look at Nikki who's looking back at me.
" That's okay Tom i'll just have some tea instead " I try divert him away from the alcoholic beverage.
" No come on Nona always said it's liquid medicine" He laughs as we enter the kitchen. I look at Nikki shaking my head.
" Tom how about you take a seat and i'll make us something, did Gunner go to bed okay ? " Nikki tries distracting him.
" He did , he's just great isn't he ! Won't be long now until you two be having some of your own " He laughs to himself. This is just typical. I watch as Nikki eyes me....I know what he's thinking...I give him a nod.
" Actually Tom there is something we need to tell you" Nikki wraps his arm around me.
