Let's hear what our third rank holder priyankashaurya has to say about her winning journey!

I: Firstly congratulations for winning in fanfiction genre in overall category.

W: Thanks a lot, this was a unexpected one for me! I didn't expected that I will be rank holder in overall category. I can't express my happiness.

I: We are glad to see you happy!
Will you please introduce yourself a bit so that our audience can get to know you?

W: Hi, I am Priyanka. To be honest I a little bit introvert type but this wattpad gave me many friends. This platform helped me to express my new talent. I belong from Kolkata -city of joy. And currently I am pursuing my Btech degree.

I: You've won in the fanfiction genre. So, Priyanka, is this your fav genre or do you write in other genres too?

W: O yes! I always write fan fiction on indian shows! Though I don't watch daily soaps but there chemistry that attracts me to write on them with my own imagination on those character.
Sometimes, I write stories inspired from Bengali movies, as I feel this is a way to spread my Bengali movies to larger audience. I never tried other genre but will love too.

I: What inspires you to write? An author or book series. Or anything which is your inspiration source.

W: To be honest I don't have anything big as my inspiration. I remember I was in class 11, its about 4 years back. Suddenly I got to know that there are many people like me who express there thoughts in a form of fan fiction in telly updates. And after reading many, suddenly I thought to give a try. I can express my excitement when my first story was published on telly updates. So basically, my inspiration are the other writers on these platforms.
And thanks to my friend jasmine and palchin who suggested me about wattpad. Wattpad indeed gave me so much.

I: Are you happy with what you write and how you write? Also, share your one motivational quote with our readers.

W: See, my happiness is when people comments and praises my story. If my readers are happy, it makes me happy.
And about motivation, I am none to give a motivational quotes. I am really bad at it. But as u ask, a simple rule that I follow in my life is. Live your life to fullest, do what u want, express yourselves, because once you miss it, the chances never comes back💕

I: That's really great to hear. What other genres do you read on wattpad & some of your fav wattpad writers?

W: I may sound arrogant, but I don't read much books in wattpad. I used to earlier long back 2 years back. But now I mainly watch movies whenever I get time.
I am so busy with my college schedule that I rarely get time to read.
But my favorite genres are mystery,suspense thriller and intense  love stories

I: We can understand.
About this, how do you manage writing alongside your college work? Want to share something about your time management?

W: Earlier I used to write alongside my college work. One shot every week. But nowadays I rarely get time, I am not able to manage my time, so whenever I get holidays in college I go for writing.

I: Understandable! We hope you get enough time to showcase your talent more and more.

W: Thank you.

I: On this platform, Wattpad, are you satisfied with how much famous your writings currently is? Or in simpler words, do you consider the views and votes as a prominent part of success?

W: I am not so famous on wattpad. This is truth. But if only single person also praises my work that's enough for me.
There was time when I had only 1 reader. I knew if I post, I will get only one comment. But still I posted for that one genuine reader. And I don't think votes and views are prominent part of success. I write for happiness and as I said earlier, if my readers are happy, I am happy. So that's it.

I: This is inspiring to hear! No wonder you're a unique writer. What's the hardest part of writing for you and how do you tackle it?

W: Thank you! I guess everyone is unique.
Hardest part is I need to think hundred of times before writing a scene or pairing any actors. I m afraid by a chance if they get offended with that scene or as I write fanfictions some obsessed fans get angry if u pair there fav with someone else.
So this is the hardest thing.
So for tackling I sometimes takes suggestion from my friend jasmine. And sometimes I do poll.

I: As you're the third winner of the fanfiction awards, anything you want to share with your fellow writers? And to your readers?

W: Yes, for fellow writers, first congratulations to winners and the one who didn't reached here, I am. Damn sure they are equally talented. As I said everyone have their own uniqueness ❤ all the best to you all
And readers I love u all, u r the reason why I am here. All credits goes to you ❤

I: Here wrapping up, have you ever considered becoming a published author?

W: No never, I am focused on some other field actually. I don't think, I am so talented for being a published author and didn't even thought about it

I: That's totally your personal comfort. But we do hope that you keep writing more beautiful stories and achieve greatest of heights in whichever field your heart isi
