The Ninja were once again on the bridge and were discussing the fangblades. and Nya said, "Though they got the first one, there are three more and we just need one to stop Pythor. They have a map and we don't, so the question remains, how are we gonna find them first?"

"Heh. I still can't get over the fact that you were the Mysterious Samurai. Is anyone else blown away like I am? eh?" Jay said

"We're over that can we move on!" Kai snapped

"Someone's a little hot under the collar." Jay said

"It appears his impatience, is because he has not found inner peace and unlocked his full potential. Like you and I have Jay." Zane said

"Great observation, Mr. Robot, but Cole hasn't found it either." Kai shouted

"I got it!" Cole shouted

"you've unlocked it?" Kai said and then let out a frustrated shouted and yelled, "Oh! Why am I the only one?!"

"No, I figured out where I recognized the Fangblade from, I have a picture of it." Cole said and then ran off

"Oh, ha, ha, is that it?" Kai said and then added "good."

"Unlocking your true potential shouldn't be treated like leaving up in a video game! It helps you grow and its a physical manifestation of over coming something you struggle with that is not physical but emotional." Misty said coldly and added, "No matter what I find out about myself I will not be able to unlock my true potential at least that's what Wu says."

"I've got it! Cole said and opened a book and Jay took it from him and said, "Oh, That's it"

"back where I grew up there's this big competition, where every year the winner gets The Blade Cup. My dad's won it multiple times." Cole explained

"You never told us your dad was an accomplished athlete. what sport?" Zane asked

"Oh, uh....he's a, uh, Blacksmith." Cole said awkwardly

"Nothing wrong with that. my father was a blacksmith too, but I've never heard of a competition--" Kai said and was cut off when Cole said

"That's because he's not a blacksmith blacksmith He's a Royal Blacksmith." Cole sand and got up to flip the pade to saw a man holding the cup.

All of the ninja laughed and Jay said, "That's you dad?"

"But how did the Fangblade become a trophy?" Kai said

"Well supposedly the Blade Cup was made by this guy who collected priceless artifacts, His name was something like, uh, Dutch...No, Clutch. Clutch Powers! Anyway it gets passed on to each year's winner." Cole explained

"Who has it now?" Zane asked

"I don't know." Cole admitted

"I haven't talked to my father in years." Cole said

"Well, then we'll call him up." Kai offered

"You can't! He thinks I'm in Ninjago City training at the Marty Openheimer School of Preforming Arts." Cole sighed and added, "He wanted me to follow in his footsteps, but when I couldn't sing or dance well I...I ran away. When he sees I can't dance, he'll know I've been lying in the letters I've been sending."

"He doesn't know you're a Ninja?" Zane said

"What? You gonna crack some joke that my old man wear's a tutu?" Cole said

"No but if we're gonna have any chance at getting that Fangblade before they do, we better get our one act in tune." Kai said

Misty stepped up as well and said, "We are who we are and how the world made us, we can do certain things and not do certain things it's just how it goes."

Cole nodded at her and said then I guess we should pay my father a visit.

The Ninja dressed in civilian clothes and jumped off the Bounty. Cole was hanging onto Misty again and they used the Golden Weapons to landed, and then Cole opened the case he had been carrying and said, "Alright hand' em over."

"Uh-uh. But no mortal shall possess all four." Jay said but placed his weapon in the case, and the others followed suit and Kai said, "You wanna remind me again why we can't keep our weapons?"

"I told you, my dad can't find out I'm a Ninja, and I don't feel like making up excuses, why I'm carrying a giant scythe around with me, just remember the plan, we find out who has the Fangblade trophy, we snatch it and then we get the heck out of town. Misty remember no crystal!" and then Cole turned and knocked on the door. A voice came from inside and it said, "Just a moment!" and the door opened and Cole said, "Heh. Hey, dad how long had it been?"

"What? You're too good for the doorbell?" and he slammed the door

"uh." said Cole

"Use the bell son." came the man's voice

Cole reached over and pressed the button and an automated voice said, "Welcome" in a musical tone.

The door opened and them and said, "ha, ha come on in son." and he hugged Cole as he said, "it's been forever. What did you bring, a quartet and a girl? come in, come in. I've got a kettle of lemon honey tea on the stove right now."

Music was played over a Gramphone Jay seemed to be the only one enjoying it. and then Lou turned to Cole and said, "Did my son tell you I broke my foot? It was the cha-cha but I swear the percussionist had it in for me."

"No Dad, I didn't tell them about your silly stories." Cole said

"Silly Stories?" Lou said sounding offended

"What he meant was, we've been so busy training at the...uh... uh The Martha Openheimer. Yeah." Jay cut in

And the record stop, and Lou said, "Martha Openheimer?"

"what he's trying to say is, The Marty Openheimer School of Performing Arts." Zane corrected

"right, heh, well, uh see, we have this final research paper we're doing the history of Ninjago talent, and what we really wanted to know was, how can we get our hands on the Blade Cup?" Cole said

"You're talking about getting your hands on the Blade Cup, the most prized and heavily guarded award in all of Ninjago. The symbol of excellence in harmony and grace. You can't just get it you earn it you have to exhibit style perfect pitch. Push the boundaries of artistic license and win this year's Ninjago Talent Show!" Lou shouted

"Um, perhaps there is an easier way?" Zane said

"Is this why you came? you knew I was injured, and when my quartet insisted we shan't got on, you four have come to take our place? ha, ha ingenious! My son, bringing both the next evolution of the Royal Blacksmiths!" Lou said and then added, "Let me hear the sweet, sweet, sound of harmony."

He waited and eventually Jay jumped up and sang, "harmony" and each of the ninjas sang but Misty and Cole cringed

"uh look dad, we just need the trophy." Cole said

"Yeah, we're bringing home the gold and we want you to train us!" Kai said

"I've never been more proud. If you excuse me, I need to write a song about my feelings." Lou said and left the room.

"What are you doing?!" Cole said

"Look we enter this competition so we can get close enough to the The Blade Cup. Once we get the Fangblade we leave town. Hard can this be?" Kai said

They waited for a while and then Lou called for the ninjas to come and they walked into the room but Lou stopped Cole and said, "the girl in your group does she sing?"

"No.. she's our... uh... she creates the costumes and props." Cole said, Lou then said "Oh well but son I was thinking isn't she a little too young for you."

"Oh, Misty... you have the wrong idea she's not.. and I'm not... We're not together she just a friend." Cole said quickly. Lou nodded and they joined the group inside.

Misty was outside the room and could heard the team practicing, and she heard Lou scolding and shouting at the Ninja... "gee it's just like in the beginning." Misty muttered and then snickered. Eventually the Ninja started practicing outside, Misty watched them and occasionally made a few comments most unwanted.
