Diamond's POV

Me: What do you mean, Lani?

Lani: Well, you know how I'm a hybrid and prince is a vampire, doesn't that mean I'll have to become a vampire in order to conceive with prince?

Me: Not necessarily.

Lani: Why not?

Me: Because your a hybrid. And all of us can stand to be around you without getting the urge to kill you. So, I believed your a half vampire and half something else.

Lani: Them how come I don't crave blood like you guys?

Me: It's because your other half of you, your non-vampire side is the dominant side. So your vampire side is still there but doesn't have as much power as your other side does. So you learned over the years to let your dominate side take control, and push your vampire side away. That's why.

Lani: So basically, my dominate side, is the stronger side?

Me: Yes. But you can be a vampire when you want to.

Lani: How do I do that?

Me: Just think about your vampire side being in control now and pushing your dominate side away. It might be a little difficult now that you've survived without it for so long.

Lani: Oh boy. Okay, come on Lani. Focus.

She closed her eyes.

A few seconds later, I felt a shift go over me.

She opened her eyes.

Lani: Did it work?

I smiled.

Me: See for yourself.

She went over and looked in the mirror.

Lani: IT WORKED! OH MY GOD! I gotta go show prince!

Me: Wait Lani!

Lani: What's wrong?

Me: With you finally bringing your vampire side out, prince might not be able to recognize you.

Lani: What?

Me: This is gonna be new to all of them. You gotta give them some time to adjust after this.

She sighed.

Lani: Okay.

Me: You ready?

Lani: Ready.

We walked downstairs.

Me: Everyone! Give me your attention please!

Ray: What's up, Mama's?

Lani stepped out from behind me.

Roc: Yo, diamond, when she get here?

Prod: She looks familiar.

Prince: Indeed she does, prod.

Me: Everyone.... This is Lani.

Everyone: LANI?!

Lani: Uh... Surprise?

Prince started walking up towards her.

Prince: Your... You're a...

Lani: Vampire. I know.

Prince: But how? I didn't change you. Diamond did you change her?

Me: No. Let me explain.

Ray: Please do. Cause a nigga is confused as fuck over here.

I laughed but sighed at the same time.

Me: Anyways, you all know how Lani is a hybrid. So upstairs we we're talking about how-

Lani grabbed my arm.

Me: What?

She whispered something in my ear.

Lani: I wanna tell prince that in private please.

I shook my head at her.

Me: So, I was trying to figure out what Lani is mixed with because she asked me a very interesting question concerning her and prince. So yes, she is mixed with a vampire. But we don't know what her other side is. And the other side we always see, is her dominant side with means, that that is the side that has the most control and it's been like that for years. So her vampire side has been pushed down for years. So just today, is has gained control for the first time for a while, this producing-

I pointed at Lani.

Prod: But why weren't we able to recognize her?

Me: It's just like I said. That side of her has been pushed away for a while, so of course your not gonna be able to recognize it's her.

Roc: That makes.... sense.

Me: Yeah. I'm gonna have her use her vampire side more often because we need to figure out what her power is and we have to get used to it.

Everyone: Okay.

Lani's POV

I went back upstairs into me and prince's room and looked at myself in the mirror.

And soon enough after, prince followed.

Prince: Lani?

I looked at him.

Prince: You okay?

Me: I don't know. I think am.

Prince: What's wrong?

Me: It just feels weird being this way. I'm used to being my dominant side everyday.

Prince: It's okay, L. You'll get used to it. It's gonna take some time, but I promise it'll be worth it.

He kissed my forehead.

I smiled at him.

Prince: Now what did you want to talk to me about privately?

I looked at him shocked.

Me: How did you know about that?

Prince: I read Diamond's mind after you finished whispering to her.

I sighed and scoffed.

Me: I should've known.

He laughed.

Me: Well, I asked diamond... if it was possible... for us to have... kids. I was unsure because of what I was, and I was wondering if I had to be a vampire in order to conceive, but now that I figured out that I'm half vampire, I guess we can have kids.

Prince: I would've had kids with you anyway, L. Even if you weren't a vampire.

I blushed.

Me: Really?

Prince: Yeah. I'm sure we could've figured out a way to have kids without you being a vampire.

I sighed a breath a relief.

Me: Whoo. Okay, hearing you say that makes me feel a lot better.

He smiled and kissed me.

Prince: I'm glad.

I smiled at him.
