Y/n's POV...

oh Merlin's beard! I am on the train right now on my way to Hogwarts, but I am nervous because I have barely talked to Draco since the Yule Ball!..

Sorry let me dial back for you when we had showed up to the ball I couldn't stop thinking about how embarrassed Draco must have been because all the other boy's dates had the perfect body I could only wish for...(Side note Y/n is gonna bring herself down a few times but lemme tell you...YOU ARE DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!...periodt)

And I tried my best not to be around him to save him from the embarrassment of having me as his date, when any other girl would've been crazy to go with him and he went with me who looked so bad in her dress compared to the others- I thought it looked cute when I tried it on but when I showed up I was so embarrassed...every time I would try to get away from him he would pull me in to dance or to introduce me to his friends after than night I realized I was nothing but a burden to him and he just didn't have the heart to say it,

So I took the first step and helped him by pushing myself away from him and for the most of the year after the Ball I ignored him he would sometimes find me and try to talk to me since we had the same friends so I distanced myself from everyone and stayed alone and even over the summer I never wrote to anyone I just kept myself locked at my keep,

now I am back on the train nervous to meet people since I haven't talked to anyone, before I knew it we were there, I set my feet off the train carefully and made my way out of there as fast as possible trying not to bump into anyone I know,

During the sorting ceremony and the orientation I sat in a corner beside some tall 7th years so I could be hidden behind there tall figure from anyone sitting at the beginning of the table

After Dumbledore was done, I waited for everyone on the Slytherin table to leave for the Slytherin common room but what I had noticed is that as soon as Dumbledore dismissed us Draco without thinking walked out the door as if he was in a rush to find something or someONE, I don't know...

after the table was mostly empty I got off and left for the common room, when I entered it was filled with 1st years and Draco sitting in front of the fire place with his left leg bouncing up and down as he was waiting for someone, when he heard the entrance close his head snapped towards it and he noticed me his face lit up

And I panicked, made my way towards the stairs as I heard him call out my name, I looked back and he was slowed down by the confused 1st years walking around, I walked faster towards my prefect dorm knowing he wasn't too far behind me,
