Summary: Draco and Y/n have been best friends since they were 5 they were forced as friends since both their father's were close buddies I know shocking Lucious has friends but even Lucious was once a kid so he had one friend Y/n's father Who was a Slytherin her father fell for Y/n's Mom Who was Hufflepuff in their 4th year, they went to the ball together it was amazing, Y/n wished to have something like that, she'd be lying if she said she hadn't thought of Draco like that, in fact she was head over heels for him but he didn't know that she was too scared, anyway today is another one of their hangouts let's see!

Y/n's POV...

I walked into the Manor following after my father's heavy dress shoe footsteps,

Our eyes met to a joyful looking Lucious Malfoy, that's something you don't see everyday...

He greeted my dad with a hug and a pat on the back, when he turned to me he shook my hand formally greeting me,

"Good morning" he shone me a smile,

"Good morning Mr.Malfoy" I nodded, I wasn't a very big fan of him but when he was with my father he was like any other wizard...basically not a scum low life Voldemort sucking roach- yeah I don't like him...

"And here I thought I was Mr.Malfoy..." said a voice from behind Lucious, there stood the boy who had my heart....fucking Hagrid-

Draco shone me a smile from behind as he walked past his father gently taking my palm in his hand like a gentleman,

"I will be stealing her from you lot for a bit and don't expect us to be seen" he said fancily walking us to his backyard,

As soon as we stepped out and the door closed behind us, we both burst out laughing as we walked to our spot in the backyard,

"Damn I love this" I laughed plopping on a picnic blanket,

"Meh I would rather spend this time talking to my door" he commented, I plucked some grass threw it at his face annoyed,

"Oh please you are in love with me" I said rolling my eyes,

"Uh-uh no way I would much rather go and kiss Neville's toad before touching your crusty lips" he said making a disgusted face,

"Mhm sure..." I said looking back up at the sky, I know he was joking but ouch!

"Anyway are you ready for the new coming year?" He asked as I turned my head to the side to look at his face staring at the sky, the sunlight highlighting his features beautifully,

"Hmm...I don't know it's just like any other year I guess...although kinda nervous for the the tournament" I said looking back at the sky,

"I would've killed it in the tournament" he said flipping his imaginary long hair and sitting up,

"Oh please I would've won over you on the first round" I said also sitting up,

"Oh really..." he said raising his eyebrows and narrowing his eyes at me with a smirk,

"Mhm yeah!" I said proudly,

"Fine then we race...from the blanket to the patch of the flowers over there" he said pointing to a patch of fluffy flowers 30 meters away from us,

"Challenge accepted dip shit" I said pulling off my platforms feeling fresh as my feet hit the soft grass pulling my shorts up tight and fixing my shirt, as he took off his shoes and had socks under them and was ready to run,

We marked a line with a random stick we found, and counted down,

"3...2...1-" he started,

"Go!" I yelled as I sprinted on my legs both of us running in our top speed both close up one going ahead of the other every other second but who won?...

Obviously me, I cheered as I reached the patch before him! He neared me as I said

"See told I'd wi-" before I could finish my sentence as soon as he reached me he jumped on me making us both fall into the flower patch,

"I just did charity work darling be great full" he said on top of me as butterflies erupted inside me at his actions, I pushed him off of me sitting up,

"Mhm says the one who is breathing like my grandma's broken heater" I remarked smirking,

I just wanted to kiss him at that moment, but I knew we were still young and I wanted to live my life right now with him as best friends I was gonna tell him one day don't worry, but for now I wanted to enjoy this,
