"Knock, knock." Vic jumps and sits up quickly.
"Dad?" She can hear Cady say.
"Thanks for the heads up, Walt." Vic mutters. She open the door. "Cady, hi. What are you doing here?"
"Well, my dads not at the station. So I figured he was here. What are you doing here?"
"I wonder where he is. Did Walt not tell you?"
"Tell me what?"
"We are together."
"Oh. It was bound to happen." She smiles. "I'm so happy for you guys."
"Thank you." I say looking at the floor then back up to her. "So what did you come by for?"
"Nothing. I was just looking for him."
"Ok." I got hit with dizziness. She sat down.
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. In five minutes I'll be fine."
"Ok. So, you have no idea where my dad is?"
"No, he told me he was going to the station. Did you check the red pony?"
"No. Not yet. I figured it was too early for him to start drinking. But I'll go check."
"Ok."
"Bye, Vic. Hope you feel better."
"Thanks, bye." Vic got up and downed some aspirin. She grabbed her truck keys and headed to the station. Vic gets into town and pass Walt. She slammed on her brakes and turned around. They pulled into the parking lot.
"Walt, you never told Cady about us?" Vic jumped out saying.
"No. It's not her business."
"She came by the house today. I had to tell her. Cause she asked."
"Ok. What did she say?"
"She said she was happy for you. For us."
"Ok. I'm sorry for not telling her but.."
"Walt, it's your daughter, she deserves to know."
"I know. I get that."
"I was ok with you not being ready to tell her. I get it."
"I was. I was ready. It never came up in our conversation." She opened her arms. He came into them and wrapped her up. "How's your day?" He says.
"It was good. I think I need to start drinking more water. I got dizzy."
"Are you sure it's just that?"
"Yeah, i'm sure."
"Ok, let's get going."
"Where were you headed?"
"To Cumberland county."
"For what? You know we are not welcome there. Wilkins hates our asses."
"I know but I need some information."
"I'm coming with you."
"Ok."
"Pick me up at the station." Vic says getting back into her truck. She started driving and looked out her rear view mirror. Walt was right on Vics bumper. He passes her, She looked at him and smiled and shook her head. They got there and of course Walt was there before she was.
"Why'd you pass me?" Vic says getting in his bronco.
"You were driving too slow."
"I was not. You just did not want me to be here before you."
"Maybe" He smiles. A little bit of silence goes by. Vic looks over.
"You have any idea why Cady came by? You have any idea of what that is about?"
"Um, no."
"You do too."
"I can't tell you."
"Why?"
"Because it's a secret."
"You can't keep secrets from me."
"I know but you're going to find out soon."
"Well, if i'm going to find out soon then why can't you tell me now?"
"Vic, it's a surprise." I raise an eyebrow.
"Walt Longmire has a surprise? For me?" he laughs. "Wow, I feel special."
"You are."

"A cemetery?"
"Yeah, I told you I needed information."
"Why here?"
"Well, the man that is a suspect in my case is dead."
"So that doesn't tell me anything about why we are here."
"He is supposed to be buried here."
"I can start looking on the other side if you want to start here."
"Ok."
She finished looking and double checked if he was buried there. Vic walked back to the truck.
"He's not here." Walt says.
"So now what?"
"I have to figure out where he's been and why he faked his death."
"You have to ask him about the case too." Walt gave her the look. "What? What's going through that cowboy brain of yours, babe?" He grabs the radio.
"Ferge, you there?"
"Yeah, Walt. What do you need?" He says.
"Can you look up Darren Wrent?"
"Sure thing." There was a bit of silence. "So it looks like he was involved with a shooting but died right before they could put him in trial."
"Ok. Thanks Ferge."
"No problem." Ferge says.
"So, what are we going to do?"
"I don't know."
"Maybe we can put out a wanted sign or an APB?"
"Yeah, call Ruby and tell her to do that." Vic picked up her phone.
"Hey, Ruby."
"What do you need, Vic?"
"Can you put out an APB and make a wanted sign for me?"
"Sure."
"Ferge should have the picture of him."
"Ok, sure thing."

"So what happens when we can't find him." She asks walking into the office.
"We call the feds."
"They hate us."
"I don't think they hate us ever since we took down Chance."
"Ok. So how many days do we give this search before we call them?"
"Give it a couple days. Maybe someone will come forward with some information."
