Ring! Ring! Ring!

I groaned.

Can I sleep without interruptions for once?

I rolled over to get up.

The ringing stopped, meaning that someone has already answered the phone.

I slipped my feet into some comfy sandals and quietly padded my way downstairs. At the top of the stairs I could see Nick holding the phone.

"Why?" he asked angrily.

There was silence for a couple of minutes before he angrily slammed down the phone. He leaned against the wall breathing heavily.

I quietly walked over to where he was and wrapped my arms around him. He was tense, but slowly started to relax after a couple of minutes.

"What's wrong?"

He turned in my arms and wrapped me in his warm embrace.

"It was nothing. Don't worry about it."

I looked up at him, "It's not nothing. You were clearly upset."

He sighed, "Don't worry about it, Brin."

"But-"

"No, I said don't worry about it," he said with finality.

I finally relented.

"Will you come to bed with me?" I asked softly.

"Brin..."

I looked up at him through my lashes, "Please?"

He sighed, "Fine."

He led me back upstairs to his room. He moved the covers to the foot of his bed, and lifted me onto the left side. He went back around the other side of the bed and climbed in.

I lay on my side not moving an inch. Why did I ask to sleep with him?

I suddenly felt arms pulling me into a warm body.

Nick scooted closer and nuzzled my neck.

"Night, Brin."

"Night."

She doesn't look any different.

I heard that it was her fault.

I can't believe it.

I sighed.

Was high school always this way?

I attempted to make it to my locker without being noticed. However, things weren't going my way today.

"Brinley!" a voice yelled.

It caused the whole hallway to turn silent. You could probably hear a baby cry from a few towns over.

I quietly groaned and quickened my pace.

However, a thought entered my mind.

I stopped.

Where was my locker?

A body suddenly knocked into me, sending me forwards.

I braced myself for the fall, but it never came.

Someone was holding me. Preventing me from falling flat on my face.

I slowly looked up and noticed that it was one of the boys who were in my bedroom the other day.

"You okay?" his eyes showed worry. Worry for me. My heart melted.

I nodded and stood up.

"Shit. I'm sorry, Brin. You suddenly stopped and I just didn't know what to do." the other boy apologised to me.
