The Interview

Kara

I was going to call Lena, but I decided I would go to her office instead to see her and Kaylee. To talk about the interview and if we would do it or not. I thought maybe we would but I didn't want Kaylee to be in the spotlight so early in life. I wanted her to decide whether it was for her or not.

I arrived at Lena's office and walked in and she was breastfeeding Kaylee. I walked over and kissed Kaylee, her eyes were closed and so peaceful. Then I kissed Lena. Her lips are so soft. This could never get old.

"I was just talking to Ms. Grant..," I said incompletely.

"Yes, you work together?" She said confused.

"She said we need an exclusive on supergirl and the 'mysterious baby'." I said with my eyes closed not wanting to see her reaction.

"Wow." was all Lena said. She got up and placed Kaylee in her new playpen. She walked over to sit down on the couch and so did I."So much for keeping her away from the public." She said, trying to think of a solution.

"We can still do that!" I said with a new idea.

"How exactly?" Lena said intrigued

"We don't have to show her to the press, and I don't have to write about it. We can do an interview!" I said with a little question in my tone.

"That's actually a great idea!"

Then Kaylee started crying.

I'm at the office and I scheduled a meeting with Ms.Grant. Soon enough I was in her office.

Ms.Grant has always made time for me. Probably because we have this connection.

"Well you're back, it's only been a few hours," Cat said with curiosity.

"I got an interview with supergirl!" I said hoping she would be excited.

"Oh good. When?" Cat said as she expected it.

I thought about it... "Tomorrow morning!"

"Okay good. Now get out of my office, I have another meeting in a few." Cat said, smirking.

The Next Morning

I wake up and feel around the bed Lena was nowhere to be found then smell something cooking. "Smells like pancakes!"

Lena pov

I see Kara walk in with a big smile and wrap her arms around my waist.

"Good Morning babe. The food smells good!"

"Yup. I woke up early to cook before your interview." I made pancakes (topping whip cream, chocolate chips, and syrup), eggs, grits, crossoniant, strawberries, and bacon.

"Kaylee?" Kara asked with curiosity.

"She's asleep. I'll wake her up in a little." I say.

"Oh okay."

Eventually

The food was done and Kara ate tons of food. Luckily I made extra because she still wasn't full after all of that food. I got Kaylee up and she went back to her original size. But she still had powers. I was thinking about making a bracelet that could suppress her powers. Of course, I would take it off when she was a certain age. I'm not trying to keep her powers away from her, I'm just trying to keep her safe.

Kara kissed me goodbye and Kaylee then left for the interview.
