background (childhood) : he was born to a mother and father in athens, greece, both of whom were in their forties and had been trying for a child for years. his parents had no idea about his real origins, so they treated him like they would a mortal son. his early life was rather normal with only a few exceptions. for example, he had a fixation on flowers and being outside, he'd cry if his parents forced him into the house. the people in their neighborhood and throughout the country (word spread quickly among believers), especially the select few who still believed in the greek gods, were a little suspicious of adrian. some brought him gifts, ranging from rare flowers and other pieces of nature to pure gold. adrian's parents were baffled and always tried to turn the gifts down, but failed each time.
