- jae-in -

I sat in the cozy cafe, waiting for him patiently as I looked through the menu boredly.

"Sorry I'm late, had to do something before coming here," I heard the familar voice, making me put the menu down as I looked up at him.

"It's okay, I haven't been waiting too long," I smiled at him warmly, taking in how good he looked in a black turtleneck and a white shirt on top, a few buttons undone.

stop it! there i go again!

I told myself, throwing my thoughts to the side as I watched him sit down.

"You look beautiful," he complimented, making me blush.

"Thank you...y-you look good aswell," I said, hating myself for sounding so dry.

He chuckled, grabbing the menu on the table.

"What do you wanna order?" he asked.

"I'll go with an iced latte and cream cheese bagel, not feeling that hungry," I said, making him nod.

"Alright, I'll just go with an iced latte."

Once the waitress came around, we ordered our food before I watched her walk away.

"Can I ask you something?" I asked, moving my side bangs away from my face.

"What is it?"

"Why are you always in turtlenecks....yesterday was literally my first time seeing you without one...and for someone who got a tattoo in such a noticeable place, it seems like you want it hidden."

"Something like that..." he trailed off, as he kept looking at me.

why does he just stare like that without even saying anything?

"U-Uh...o-okay," I said awkwardly, looking away.

I figured he didn't want to answer the question truthfully, and although I found it weird and was curious, I decided to drop it.

The waitress came back with our food, as we thanked her before diving in.

"Wow this is good," I mumbled, taking another bite of my bagel.

He chuckled, shaking his head as he watched me in awe.

It was quiet for a while, as we just enjoyed the food in front of us.

After a while of just silence, we slowly started conversing about the most random things, as we simply just got to know each other.

nothing of the ordinary...i told seunghee it would be nothing... we'd just be friends....

....but why was there an unsettling tension between us ever since that night ?

"Do you have somewhere to be?" He asked me once we were outside the cafe.

I nodded my head, "Yeah...my parents texted me just before you got here, they want to meet up for dinner later on to talk about something, have to go home and get changed."

"Oh...it must be important," he said, making me hesitantly nod.

"Yeah, kinda makes me nervous," I said, making him chuckle.

"Well I'll see you around, rich girl," he said, winking at me as I looked at him in shock.

"Wha-....don't call me that," I mumbled, but he catched on.

"Why not? I think it suits you," he said, making me roll my eyes.

there he goes again...being an asshole.
