wtf...I could have sworn I published this, but maybe my internet was bad or something...

Here ya go! :)

"Don't you dare bring that up again!" Bendy fumed, pointing a claw at you with a frown on his face. "Unless you'd like to lose your head!!"

You didn't answer...instead, you laughed. It had certainly been a while since you had laughed at anything, but of course Bendy didn't know that. He looked down at you with his irritated glare, watching as you struggled to breath from all of your laughing.

The day had started off normally. The demon went off to do whatever he did in the morning, and you were left to occupy yourself in the lounge. The minute he returned, it wasn't as ordinary of a day anymore...

While he had been away, you happened to find a roll of plastic wrap in one of the drawers.

It was the perfect thing to ruin the demon's day.

Grabbing some clear tape, you quickly plastered the plastic wrap across the entrance to the kitchen, hoping that he wouldn't see it when he returned. To his misfortune, he hadn't seen it, and walked right into the plastic wrap on his way in the kitchen.

He not only walked right into it, but he had also tripped because of it, his face hitting the ground with a loud SPLAT. Bendy hadn't put up with any of it for even a second, and immediately pushed himself up off the ground.

Although the remainder of the evening consisted of incessant grumling and low growls, mainly towards you, it had totally been worth seeing his ego drop dramatically for at least a few minutes. He seemed to have taken the simple prank way more seriously than he should have, and would constantly bicker when you brought it up afterward.

Which leads you to the present, where you had once again brought it up, just to annoy him.

"Oh come on Bendy!" You laughed, leaning on the back of the couch with your arms folded. "It was just a prank! Don't take it too seriously!"

The demon huffed, crossing his arms and looking back at you with his non-visible eyes. "What do you mean, 'don't take it seriously'!? I have a reputation to uphold here!!" He snarled back, making quotes in the air with his claws.

You frowned. This guy just wouldn't let it go would he?

"I was bored, and besides...It's not like anyone saw you fall...well, besides me..."

"Yeah, that's kinda the point!" Bendy continued, "You saw me fall, meaning that if I try to deny anything suggested against my ego, you'll just step in and tell them you saw me fall!!"

Hearing this only caused your frown to stretch farther, "Who exactly would I tell? No one comes in here except you."

He remained silent. You had learned that this was his way of saying that you were right without actually saying anything aloud. "I'm right aren't I?" Your smirked, resting your head on your palm as sweet victory spread on your face.

Another argument won...

He looked away, his signature grin completely upside down. "Alright, TRUE...but do not bring this up again, or I swear to hell and back...I will tear your head off your shoulders!"

Sighing, you slowly nodded, but your smirk stayed on your face. "Yeah, and then you'll trip over more plastic wrap on your way over." Bendy looked at you with worry and surprise written all over his face, his shoulders tensing. "There's MORE!?"

Turning your head away, you tried to hold back a laugh. You efforts were futile, and your laughter broke out anyway, catching Bendy off guard. "Bendy..." You started, covering your mouth with your hand as an attempt to stifle your giggles. "I'm joking! I didn't put any more plastic wrap anywhere."

The toon blankly looked at you, feeling like an idiot because of everything that had happened today. Suddenly, he felt something build up deep in his throat. Without giving it a second thought, he let it emerge from deep down in his soul.

Before he knew it, he was lightly chuckling along with you...and his grin had returned.

His laughing caught you completely off guard, and you looked over at him. He was actually laughing, and it wasn't an evil cackling either.

It was his genuine, free spirited laugh. It vaguely reminded you of the good old days, when the adorable dancing demon would giggle in his cartoons.

You were surprised, but you were glad to have finally gotten to him at least.

After a moment, his laughing ceased, and he walked into the kitchen, but took extra caution while entering. He didn't want to be tripped again. Even though you hadn't put anything else over there, you couldn't help but smile at his actions.

Bendy made his way to the counter, he wasn't actually going to do anything in the kitchen. He just needed to think.

What was he doing? He can't be doing things like that! Bendy was supposed to be merciless and cruel, REMEMBER!? Maybe he was being too hard on himself. He was only laughing with you. But something deep down told him not to be deceived by you.

She's an animator Bendy...

But she claims that she didn't know you were alive...

She is still an animator...

His mind wouldn't shut up. One side of him was sticking to his ego, and the other was telling him to let it go. Thinking about his options refreshed his mind with so many memories. Some of them good, and some bad.

One of the good ones was with Henry, when the man was still a well paid employee in the studio. The demon had been sitting with the man, watching him draw a sketch for one of his most hated episodes, 'Sent from Above'.

Bendy absolutely hated that Angel, but that wasn't what made the memory important. It was merely the fact that Henry was laughing in the memory. The demon couldn't quite remember why the man was laughing, but your laughter had reminded him of Henry's.

He liked the feeling of laughter, and he enjoyed being the cause of it.

So hearing you laugh at something he caused...made him feel warm inside. It felt weird, as he had not felt anything like it for so long, but being replenished with the feeling made him realise that maybe there was still a tiny bit of his old self hidden away within his black heart.

He didn't like to ponder over these kinds of things.

The cartoon pushed the memory aside, and walked back into the living room, noticing that you were gone. He wasn't quite sure where you had gone, but it didn't take him long to figure out that you had retreated into your bedroom.

He opened the door, realising that you were asleep on the bed. Bendy glanced over your sleeping form, his expression blank. Although it didn't look like it, the demon was feeling a lot of things right now.

He closed your door, making sure to be quiet about it, and left you to sleep.

When he made it back into the living room, he sat down on the couch, leaning forward with his head on his palm. He thought about what you had said earlier, and couldn't help but smile.

"Heh...your not what I expected (y/n)...not at all."
