Home today!

Summer is at our doorstep yet again, my darling.

I see the horizon getting filled with colourful flowers,

while the wind flushes with its scent.

I notice the sun waking up earlier than usual,

impatient to greet the morning birds.

I watch as people finish their morning prayers,

with hope in their hearts.

I gaze at the clouds,

changing colours to match the spirit of the day.

I peer at the wind,

while she plays with my dress.

I glimpse at your bedside,

feeling empty without your presence.

I sigh at the last letter you send,

beaming at the thought of you coming home.

For my beloved, today comes home.

My sky will be filled with colours when I will lay my eyes on you,

the sun will rise, the  birds will sing, the clouds will dance,

my empty arms will be full with you again,
