Chapter 2: Home

Y/N's POV

I was on the bus, I was looking out the window. Gotham City was a mess. I notice a little boy on the seat in front of me looking at me. I decide to entertain him. I cover my face, then make a funny face. The boy starts laughing, I continue to make him laugh until his mother stopped me.

Woman: Can you stop bothering my kid?

Y/N: I wasn't bothering him ma'am, I was just-

Woman: Just stop!

I become silent. I then start laughing, I instantly cover my mouth.

Woman: You think this is funny?

I shake my head while still laughing. I pull out my card.

Y/N: I have a condition.

I give her the card while I'm still laughing.

Timeskip

It was my stop, I got off the bus. I walk to get my pills, after I got them, I walked up the long stairs of Gotham City. I then make it to my apartment, I open the mail for our room, nothing. I then walk in my room. I hear my mother.

Mom: Y/N! Did you check the mail?

Y/N: Yeah Mom! Nothing!

I decide to make her food, she was on her bed.

Mom: He must not be getting my letters.

I know what she is talking about.

Y/N: It's Thomas Wayne, Mom. He's a busy man.

Mom: Oh please, I worked with that family for years. The least he could do is write back.

Y/N: Here, you need to eat.

I give her some food.

Mom: Thomas Wayne will be a good mayor.

Y/N: Says who? Who do you talk to?

Mom: That's what everybody says. He's our only hope.

I stay silent.

Mom: It's starting....

I look at the TV, Live with Murray Franklin was  on. It is my favorite show to watch. I sit down next to Mom and watch the show.
