Loud cries echoes through the quiet hideout. A sign of new life.

Karin stares at the couple, the mother holding a newborn, their aura screamed 'happiness.'

She looks at the ravenette who's smiling, her heart clenched.

The mother looks at the redhead, and waved her hand, signaling for her to come closer.

And with shaking legs, she did.

"Do you want to hold her?" Sakura asks. Karin looks at Sasuke, only to see him nod in approval. She stretches her arms while the pinkette does the same, and the moment she held the baby...

'Soft...and fragile' is what came to mind.

"Anata, can me and Karin have some privacy?" Sakura asks, and her husband obliged, leaving the room.

"Congrats." was Karin's first words as she gently gave back the child to her mother, but Sakura did not speak.

Instead, she reached out to grab Karin's hand and placed something.

Umbilical cord. Karin widens her eyes "Saku-"

"I know you love him, and you still do."

Karin looked away, "But-"

"I'm not mad. Thank you, Karin."

Karin looks back, seafom eyes stared at her, full of love and gratitude.

Karin can see why the Uchiha chose her.

As the redhead walks out the room, she hears a voice.

"Karin."

She turned her head and looked at Sasuke, "Yes?"

"...Thank you."

And he walks back into the room where his wife and daughter are sleeping.

She stays in her spot for a moment, and released a sigh.

'If he's happy, then that's all that matters.'
