5. Fire and Ice

Sunghoon stood infront of his mirror, tightening the tie around his neck.

He sighed while staring at himself. He didn't want to go to school at all. That meant that he would be seeing so much more of Jake in the halls, in classes, and at lunch. It was pretty much inevitable.

In all honesty, he really missed the older but what could he really do. What's done was done. They called it off, ended, kkeut, over, done for.

Sunghoon missed the times they had before they actually started dating. He didn't know what happened to them. After Jake asked him out, everything seemed to have gone downhill.

The feeling of guilt began to rise when he realized that his friends were going to have to deal with their consequences. Because of them, their friends have to suffer the awkwardness.

"Hey Sunghoon!" Sunghoon turned his head back and saw Jungwon running towards him with Jay slowly trailing behind.

"How have you been this past week? Everything going alright?" Sunghoon nodded his head but in reality, he wasn't feeling well at all. He had actually been bawling his eyes out at night before sleeping because before bed, Jake would call him every night and tell him all sorts of stories in English because Sunghoon liked his accent and it helped him sleep better.

He obviously didn't tell that to Jungwon because he didn't want the younger to worry for him. "Well thats good then." Jungwon smiled brightly at the hyung before him.

"You and I are in the same class this year Sunghoon." Jay creeped up behind him and patted his shoulder. "Good. Now I can finally copy someone's homework." Sunghoon flashed a smiled over towards Jay.

"I usually copy off of Heeseung. He's in our class as well so we should be good." That earned a chuckle from Sunghoon.

"We should probably head to class now. Bye wonie." Jay kissed the younger on his cheek and patted his head causing Jungwon to sigh. "Bye Jongie, bye hoon, I'll see you guys at lunch." The younger waved while the two older boys walked towards their classroom.

Jay began to feel very nervous as they approached their classroom door. Sunghoon didn't know but Jake also had the same class as them.

Apparently fate wanted to play a risky game this year and watch fire and ice have a battle to the death.

Right as Sunghoon entered the room, his eyes caught onto a face so familiar, it made his chest hurt.

Jake caught a glimpse of Sunghoon staring before he turned his head and walked to a desk.

"Hey, don't let any trouble happen alright? It's our last year. Now I'm not saying I'm on your side or his but don't let this whole thing get in the way alright?" Heeseung patted Jake on the shoulder. Jake's mood switched up real quick and he laughed. "Ah, yeah, don't worry about it. Things are alright. Of course nothing is gonna get in the way of my last year."

Heeseung fake smiled. He knew the reality. He knew Jake was gonna let something get to him but he knows Jake will pick himself up.

"Good good."
