Toby has many mood swings! He can go from happy to sad or mad to childish. And when he goes to a Childish attitude, the other Proxies act as siblings or parents to him, considering he didn't really have a good childhood, and since they're so sweet when they do this it reminds him of Lyra...ALSO it's because of his Childish mood swings that the fandom thinks he's...well y'know...an annoying waffle addict
