Healing by love Pt. 2

Taehyung's mother and her friend were talking to each other while Taehyung sat there with a blank face on. He did not know what to feel exactly. He was happy that he was finally away from the abusive alpha. But to be mated with a complete stranger made him anxious. What if this alpha was also a jerk like the previous one. Although his mother told him that she had already let her friend know that Taehyung could not conceive a baby and she had let him know that his future mate already has a daughter, his feelings were not very optimistic.

He was snapped out of his thoughts as he saw everybody look towards the staircase. He saw a tall man descending down from the stairs. He could immediately smell him and could distinguish that he was an alpha, a rather strong one. But what perturbed him were the reflection of his dead eyes in someone else's sockets. The alpha's face was marked with tiredness and his eyes gave away the gloomy feeling looming in his heart. The family seated themselves and began the mating talks at once. Jungkook and Taehyung had no problems with mating together. Taehyung was looking for anything that can make him move on from his horrible experience with his destined mate. Jungkook, on the other hand, was desperately looking for an omega to help him raise his baby. So the two looked like the perfect options for each other, considering their current circumstances.

Mrs. Jeon was in the middle of saying something when she was cut short because of the loud cries of a baby. Jungkook immediately sprung to his feet and bolted towards the bedroom. His angel had woken up because of the usual hunger pangs and wailed out for food. As soon as Jungkook pressed the tip of the milk bottle to her lips, she moved her face away and continued crying out loud.

"Please baby... Just drink a little. You are getting weaker baby. Appa is so scared, precious.. Please drink a little bit of milk.... "

He kept on rocking the baby in his arms but the baby was not ready to sip the formula milk. As the baby's cries did not subside for long, he got worried and immediately took the baby down to his mother. Mrs. Jeon carried the child in her arms and kept on cooing and baby talking to lull her to sleep. But the baby was especially cranky today because of how she had not been well fed in a long time. Jungkook kept on staring at his angel's wailing self with helpless eyes.

Taehyung was awestruck at the sight of a new born baby. How soft her cheeks were... How tiny her fingers were... How little was her body, wrapped in a fluffy blue blanket..... Everything stirred his heart at the thought of never having a baby in his arms... But slowly his thoughts were cut off when he smelled distress and pain in the baby's scent. His omega instincts made him want to comfort the baby in his arms. But would it be fine to snatch someone's baby and attach it to his bosom... Will the baby be comfortable in his presence...

"I think it is Taehyung's and Mrs. Kim's presence which is disturbing my Ara... Could you leave please, my baby is not comfortable in your presence??? I'm sorry for that... "

Mrs. Jeon and Mrs. Kim also decided that it was the best if they left for now. Maybe the baby really was not comfortable in the presence of strangers. But before any of them could comprehend what was happening, Taehyung snatched Ara from Mrs. Jeon's arms and placed the baby on his shoulder. Jungkook saw it as a threat to his baby and his eyes turned golden as he growled at Taehyung to scare him away from his child. But that just seemed to irk the little soul further as she cried out loud in pain.

Nobody had expected such a reaction from Taehyung. As soon as he smelled how Jungkook's aggresive pheromones seemed to hurt the baby in his arms, his omega instincts took over. His eyes turned silvery blue as he growled out loud at Jungkook to quieten him down. The spectators remained stunned as they had never seen an omega growling at an alpha. No wolves were supposed to show aggression towards other wolves of higher rank. This was seen as an action of disrespect and rebellion. However none of that mattered to the omega. Right now, his only intention was to calm the baby down.
