Captured by the beast Pt. 2

I know I was gone for too long. I'm really sorry for that. Actually my exams got over only now and now I have a month before my next exam. My results will be out in January, hopefully they go well.

Taehyung felt his head throbbing in pain as he moved around. He felt a hard, rocky surface under him and he could hear the calls of insects and animals in the distance. He opened his eyes slowly and as his eyes adjusted, he saw the darkness surrounding him. He looked around and saw that he was lying on a hard ground covered with leaves and soft branches. It looked like a mattress of some kind. He looked around to find himself sleeping in the corner of a cave.

He was puzzled about how he had reached here when he ran from that moneylender's house. However his eyes widened as he recalled losing his consciousness in the beast's arms. Was he in his cave??

Goosebumps erupted on his body as he stood up abruptly. With slow, scared steps, he approached towards what he felt was the opening of the cave. However, as soon as he saw the light shining at the mouth of the cave, his steps took up pace and he ran towards the open space.

But his feet froze as he heard the familiar growl and heard big footsteps approaching him. As he turned around, his breath hitched in fear as he came face to face with the red, growling face of the beast. As he took steps backward, he heard a low roar and stopped moving altogether. As the beast stomped towards him, he curled his body in one corner and tried to make himself as small as possible.

He felt strong arms lifting him up and soon he was hanging in the air upside down. He looked around and realised that he was on the beast's shoulder and it was carrying him inside again.

"Let me go please... Please, my parents must be worried about me.... Let me go.. "

Taehyung cried out in fear and whispered these words. As he was placed on the softer mattress of leaves, he looked up with terrified eyes. The beast nudged his body towards the bed as if asking him to remain there. The beast sat in the opposite side of the bed and kept on staring at him, making him feel more scared than he already was. He started shaking in cold and fear and tears flowed down his eyes as he sobbed heavily.

Taehyung ran faster in the deep woods and the thick shrubs as he heard the crunching leaves and large pants behind him. He remembered stepping out of the cave tentatively when he saw the beast leave the cave. He looked around and not finding anyone around, he started running away from the cave. But as he ran a little far, he heard a loud roar and he realised that the beast was aware of his disappearance. To save himself, he kept on running as fast as his sore legs could carry him..

But it was not fast enough because very soon he was pushed to the ground and above him was a massive bear, panting and growling with one of his paw placed on Taehyung's chest. He trembled in fear as he realised that this was not the beast. Fright attacked his body and he felt motionless as he stared, with his wide eyes, how the bear lifted his paw to claw his body.

But before the claws could strike him, he felt the bear being pushed away from him. He stared at the scene with wide, terrified eyes. The beast stood in front of him, panting, shielding him from the angry bear who was now on his limbs. The bear roared out in blind rage and immediately charged towards the beast. Taehyung was lifted from the ground and pushed behind a maze of bushes by the beast. But the beast was slow in turning around and soon they heard a deep slash.

The beast hissed in pain and a low growl left his mouth as he felt three deep slashes made by the bear's paw. He turned around and both the animals were ready to pounce each other down. Taehyung felt tears well up in his eyes as he saw how brutally the beast was clawed. As the fight intensified, the beast finally got a chance to slash the hind limb of the bear. Now that he was left immobile, the bear howled in rage once but turned around and slowly disappeared in the forest.
