Mike Pike is the main character who suffers from a neurological disorder called Neurofibromatosis (NF). Thanks to his NF he has some other medical issues as well, including bedwetting.
Luke Clay is the Patrol Leader of the Scorpion Patrol and takes Mike under his wing.
Liam Clay is Luke's brother and Caleb's Boyfriend.
Caleb is Liam's boyfriend and fellow patrol member. Caleb is also the Senior Patrol Leader of their Boy Scout Troop.
Landon Clay is Luke and Liam's dad. He is married to Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Clay is Liam and Luke's mom. She is married to Landon.
Cory Thomas is a reoccurring side character who will have several appearances in the story as a Scorpion Patrol member, friend of Luke's and cousin to Roger.
Roger Thomas is another reoccurring side character that is part of the Scorpion Patrol and cousin to Cory.
Mary Farmer Caleb's mom and wife to Greg.
