Analia
As Finn slept, I sat on the edge of his makeshift bed, replaying Clarke's prognosis.
With Lincoln's vial in his system, she predicted a full recovery- if he took it easy for a couple of weeks.
I've stayed by his side for the last 24 hours since Clarke needed the help. It's been beneficial because she's taught me more about medical than I've ever known.
It's also kept my mind from Bellamy. From the grounders.
They were still chained in the upper level with Bellamy's soldiers posted above the hatch. He made clear rules: nobody entered.
Finn suddenly stirred, waking.
His eyes opened. Bloodshot, weary, but he was alive. Breathing. That's all that mattered.
"Analia?" He blinked, as if he couldn't believe I was with him. "You're here. You okay?" He sounded half-dead.
"Am I okay? Finn, you nearly lost your life."
The corner of his lips curved into a smile. "Wouldn't be the first time, huh?"
I rolled my eyes. "You scared us, Finn."
His face softened. "Hey, I'm still here and so are you." With his brows drawn, his demeanor grew serious. "What happened out there?"
I told him it all. From leaving with Octavia to seeing the grounder stab him.
"They protected us," I said. "He hid me when another grounder came into the cave."
He studied my face. "I don't understand. Why would he keep you chained?"
"I don't know, but I don't think they planned to hurt us."
"They weren't planning to to let you go either," Finn pointed out.
"You sound like Bellamy."
"Look, Bellamy's not my favorite person, but when he learned you and Octavia were gone, he went ballistic. Told us all we wouldn't come back without you or her."
"His sister went missing," I pointed forwardly. "I can't blame him."
Finn shook his head. "Analia, he found out you went missing first. He lost it then."
Whatever feeling that gave me, I shoved it away. Though I couldn't consent with Bellamy's frame of torture, without the grounders here, Finn would have died.
A sound came from the threshold, and Clarke walked into the room. She had spent all morning communicating with the Ark, filling them in, and organizing times for family to talk to their kids.
"Hey, Analia," she said, coming to the other side of the bed Finn laid on. "How is he?"
"I changed his bandages and the bleeding has completely stopped. No dry blood."
She smiled. "Good."
Finn shot a look at Clarke. "You wanna say something. What is it?"
