Chapter 10

I went home. Derek was coming over later. Something happened to him while we were all in that meeting and he wasn't. I ordered pizza and started watching tv, waiting for it. The doorbell rang and I went over to the door. I opened it. I grabbed my pizza and sat back down on the couch. I started eating it. I finished 2 pieces and sat the box on the coffee table. I grabbed a blanket and laid down. I ended up falling asleep.

"Meredith" he whispered

I opened my eyes and Derek was looking down at me.

"What time is it" I asked

"10" he said

I got up and started eating my pizza. He took a piece. We both finished and I threw the box away. I went upstairs and changed into my pajamas.

I laid on the bed and Derek laid next to me.

"So what happened today" I asked

He looked at me

"With what" he asked

"Before the meeting" I said

"Oh nothing, just a patient" he said holding his hand

We winced at the pain

"Do you need anything" I asked

"No" he said

"You act like it wasn't just a patient" I said

"Just don't ask" he sighed

He started getting a phone call.

"I have to take care of this" he said getting up and walking away

I sat up

"No you don't" I said

"No seriously Mer, stay out of it" he said

"Fuck you" I spat

"Fuck you" he scoffed turning around and looking at me.

I stared at him

We walked over to me and pushed me onto the bed. He held my hands above my head and started kissing my lips. He started sucking on my upper lip and grinded against me. He pulled away and stood up. He turned around and left the room. He slammed the door. I sat on the edge of the bed and laid my back down. I was so mad. I grabbed my phone and started texting Cristina

Come over. Derek crises. Sos

I got off the bed and went downstairs. Dereks car was gone. I waited for Cristina to come. She pulled into the driveway and started running to the door. I opened it. She walked in

"Where is he. I'll beat his ass" she said angrily

"He left because he got mad that I asked about what happened this morning. He seemed like someone stole his puppy and he just left" I said

"Oh Mer that's why. I heard that he lost a little boy that was his patient for a long time and the kids parents are suing him" she said

"Are you serious" I asked

"Yeah, man that sucks" she said

"Oh wow. I feel like an ass" I said

"Tequila will help" she said making her way over to my mini bar.

She grabbed the tequila and I sat on the couch. She came over to me and we started passing the drink to each other.

"So what was he like" she said
