Chapter 11

1 week later

Derek got suspended 3 days ago. I actually just found something out, but he hasn't been in the mood, so I haven't told him yet. The trial is about to start that the little boy's parents did. They are really going after him. I got home from work and I went upstairs. I opened the door and he was laying on the bed, naked, spread out.

"I'm pregnant" I said

He sat up and looked at me. He sighed.

"What" he said

"I'm pregnant" I said

"You have got to be kidding. I mean I'm happy, but this is bad timing" he said laying back down.

"While I'm horny so if you aren't going to help me then I'll do it myself" I said walking to the bathroom.

I walked in and shut the door behind me. I turned the shower on and undressed. I walked in and started running water through my hair. I heard the shower door open and he stepped in. I opened my eyes and looked at him. He looked down and ran his hands up and down my sides. He looked into my eyes and smiled.

"I'm really happy for this" he whispered leaning in

He started kissing my lips. He picked me up and turned me around. He backed me into the wall and kept kissing my lips. He held my legs and spread them. He slid into me and I wrapped my hands around the back of his neck. I bounced with him and he kept going harder inside of me.

"Derek" I moaned softly

"Mer" he moaned tightening his grip on my legs. He lifted me up and slammed me onto him

I had to put my hand on the corner of the wall to hold myself up. He kept going and released inside of me. I released and felt everything dripping out of me. He took me off of him. We finished the shower and walked out of the bathroom. We put our clothes on.

"Are you hungry. Could I get you anything" he said

"Actually. I could really go for a hamburger" I smiled

"Got it" he smiled putting his hand on my waist.

He pulled me into him and kissed my lips.

"I love you so much" he whispered against my lips.

"I love you too. Get me 2 double hamburgers, large fries, and a large milkshake" I said

"Yes ma'am" he smiled

He grabbed his keys and left the room. I went downstairs and went to his office. I looked through the law suit papers. The hospital was really going to take a turn if they win. I looked more through it and Derek was in a bad area for this. Him and the hospital will go down. I didn't know that he went this far to try and save the patient, in then I realized. The little boy was brought back and okay when Derek finished. He left perfectly fine and was brought into the room. He died that night. It wasn't his fault, it was a regular complication. I have to tell him. I grabbed a highlighter and highlighted the complication list to that surgery and to what happened to him. I waited for him and he finally came home. He walked inside. He put the bags of food on the table

"I'll be back" he said running upstairs.

He came back down a couple minutes later and looked at me.

"What" I smiled

"Marry me" he said pulling a ring out

It was beautiful

"Okay" I smiled

He grabbed my hand and put the ring onto it. He leaned down and started kissing my lips. We pulled away, out of breath

"I found something in the lawsuit" I said giving the papers to him

He looked at them

"It was a regular complication. He died that night. No one could've caught this, so it's not your fault" I said

"This is incredible" he said

"I don't know why my lawyer didn't see this. I'm going to call him. I'll be out in a second" he said running outside

I went over to the food and grabbed everything. I started drinking my chocolate milkshake and started eating my hamburger. He came back inside and I grabbed another hamburger.

"So he's looking over everything and talking to the parents. He said that he knew, but he didn't know that those people were going to go this far. He was only going to settle for a couple thousand because of there grief" he said

"And now it's up to 100 million" I said

"Yup" he sighed

He came over to me and grabbed a hamburger. I started drinking his coke. He grabbed my hand and I looked at him

"I really hope everything works out in the end" he smiled

13 months later

I was getting ready for my wedding in the Bahamas. Amelia and Lexie were helping me. They fixed my dress and did my hair and make up. I grabbed my little girl who was in a pink dress. She's 4 months and she's huge. I love her so much. She was going to walk down the isle with me.

"Mer you got this" Lexie smiled

"Yeah you look beautiful. He's probably going to pass out" Amelia said

"Yeah" I laughed tearing up

The music started and Amelia and Lexie walked out with Alex and Mark. Izzie and George walked out with Sam and Bailey. It was finally my turn and Richard came to me. I held his arm and held Katie in my other. We walked down the isle and Derek was crying. He started smiling through his tears. I started smiling. He met us halfway and kissed Katie's head. I handed her to Richard and he walked away. Derek took my arm and brought us up to the alter. We said our vows and we kept staring at each other.

"You may now kiss the bride"

He leaned in and attacked my lips. He put both of his hands on my cheeks. We pulled away and started walking back down the isle.

"Wooooo" everyone cheered

Our song started playing. Everyone got up and started dancing. They grabbed drinks and Derek stayed next to me. Everyone came over to us on the beach and we started yelling the songs.

"I remember when we broke up, the first time" I yelled

"Saying this is it I've had enough, cause like we haven't seen each other in a month, when you said you needed space" he smiled

"What" Izzie and George said

"Then you come around again and say baby, I miss you, I swear I'm gonna change, trust me" I said

"Remember how that lasted for a day" he said

"I say I hate you, we breakup, you call me, i love you" We both said

He wrapped his arms around my back and lifted me up. He started spinning me around in the air. I was laughing to hard. He put me down and kissed my lips.

"Where's Katie. She should be here" he said

"Richard has her" I said

We both went to Richard

"Hey Richard" he said

"Yes" Richard said turning around with Katie

Derek put his arms out and grabbed Katie. She started giggling. He held her.

"Thanks" he said bringing her to the dance floor

"May I have this dance" I said to Richard

"You may" he smiled

I took his hand and brought him into the group of everybody. We started dancing. This is the happiest I've ever been.

I thought I was going to keep this going but idk what else to do😭😭😭 so ima end it on a good note
