Y/n's POV:

The next day, Gloxinia told the Commandments about your condition. Dereri and Melascula wanted to kill Meliodas more than ever for harming you. Whereas the others were speechless, they grew fond to you, but they struggled to show positive emotions.

Zeldris just glared at the floor with his fists clenched, and then he just walked away. He left the room, which confused the rest of the group. You shrugged it off before sitting on a chair.

Meliodas's POV:

Meliodas barged into his pub, knowing that Merlin had returned from her short trip. He was angry with himself that he was so stupid and reckless. He wanted to fix this immediately.

He saw Merlin sat at a table with a cup of water,
" Merlin, where's the antidote to Y/n's poison?!"

He was more like a demand than a question. Elizabeth flinched behind the bar from the sudden intrusion, not liking the sight of Meliodas this angry.

Merlin responded casually, clesrly unfazed by his anger,
" There isn't one, I've told you that. She's close to death anyway so there's no point in saving her,"

Meliodas refused her answer and continued to order her to give him the antidote. She sighed heavily before giving up, knowing he won't back down from saving his friend.

She threw a small bottle of liquid towards him, in which he caught with ease. She exclaimed,
" There's the antidote, now will you stop fussing and let me have some peace,"

Meliodas glared at her,
" I think you forget who's the leader here,"

He then flew off as fast as he could to cure you.

Y/n's POV:

Zeldris leaving with no comment or emotion made your blood boil. You followed him into another room, were it was just you two. You asked, raising your voice slightly,
" What's your problem?! "

He turned around in irritation before stomping over to you, causing you to take a few steps back. For the first time, his eyes showed something else, but it wasn't anger like it usually was.

He admitted, his breathing uneasy,
" Because I love you! I've liked you since the day we met! I was always worried that you wouldn't like me -"

You interrupted him by kissing him on the lips, which made his eyes widen at the sudden action. He soon melted into the kiss, placing his hands on your waist in the process.

You pulled away with a smile,
" I love you too,"

You then felt an excruciating pain in your shoulder, causing you to scream in pure agony and fall into Zeldris's arms. You watched as the curse began to spread up your neck and down your chest, centimetres away from your heart.

The curse reached your lungs, making it hard to breathe. Gloxinia ran into the room in a pnic at the sound of you screaming. He saw Zeldris cradling you in his arms on the floor, which made him overprotective.

Gloxinia knelt on the floor before taking you from Zeldris. He gave him a small glare before turning to look at you with a concerned expression. He noticed your breathing had become slower than normal and it worried him.

You spoke in between breaths, your voice barely a whisper,
" Gloxi, I'm tired,"

His heart broke at the mention of the nick name you gave him. He hasn't heard that since you were young. You would always call him that because you couldn't pronounce his name properly yet.

He shook his head, his throat burning from holding back tears,
" Stay awake! Don't close your eyes, okay? It's important,"

He was afraid if you closed your eyes, they would never open again. He was afraid of losing you and the thought of you gone forever made his heart break into a thousand pieces.

Your eyes felt like they had weights on them, they begged you to close them. You inhaled deeply, not being able to withstand the tiredness anymore before closing your eyes.

Gloxinia began to shake your body awake, but you wouldn't budge or move. Zeldris just watched with teary eyes, his dark eyes turning green for a split second.
