Never fails to amaze me how being in the spot light really makes you feel like you're on top of the world. In this life it can be a drug because it's so addicting and you end up wanting more.

I walk up the red carpet gracefully holding onto Zane's arm. The paparazzi was going crazy for the look I serve.

Smiling I take off the shades that was blocking the flashing lights and pose one more time before giving the paparazzi the buzz they were looking for by kissing Zane.

"Control yourself I know that look in your eyes" i whisper amongst his lips

"I'm studying if I should stay at this event or fuck you till you can't walk and right now I'm leaning towards the last option" he whispers in my ear leading me towards the event inside

Inside I see celebrities and powerful businessmen and my ex husband.
Wait what !

I look in his direction and saw the whore I callmybestfriend latching onto his arm. Looking unbothered I look up at Zane as he guides me to some of my investors.

"Good evening" I say as I see my good friend and investor Henry Maxwell

"Hi Emily how's my big boy doing"

"He's doing fine Henry although he really wanted to make an appearance on his school night" earning a laugh from Henry and his wife Penelope

"He's really a mommy's boy" Zane said with a smile

I was about to say something when I interrupted with the appearance of Damien

"What is it you guys are chatting about"

"Oh hi Mr West we were talking about ..."

"Business" I say cutting off Henry

"Interesting and what would you know about business I hoped you haven't mistaken it for shoes or clothes" he says like he accomplished something

"My how immature and small minded you've gotten Damien I wonder what is the reason" i say looking at Brittany with the fakest smile I could pull off.

Before he could respond the ushers came to take us to our seat at the dinner event. I was placed with Henry and his wife along with some people from my director board.

Everyone settles as the presentation starts to begin with Luke Hamelton walking on stage to the podium to speak.

"Good evening everyone I'm happy to have you for this special event. This is a huge role for not only me but for all of you as we are giving out the award for the most successful businessman or woman." as the crowd gives a round of applause.

"This is also a charity event and all donations will be given to the Help Fight Cancer program. I will not waste your time with a long speech. The winner for the most successful businessman or woman is Emily Pierce" the crowd cheering for me as I smile and Zane kiss me on my cheek leading towards the stage

"Wow; Omg thank you guys. You see my success did not come from sleeping my way to the top it came from being left with nothing but drive, perseverance and dedication to make sure my family never stays hungry."

"And I know some of you guys don't know the business I own and built from scratch or some of you think it's fashion or makeup but no I am the proud owner of Pierce Financial Corporate."

"And I am honored to take this award for the ladies. I also want to thank my family and my handsome boyfriend who came in my life some years later and never gave up on me even when times were ruff. Thank you"

The facial expression of some of the business men were completely funny to me even Damien shared the same expression as them.

Walking off the stage I take Zane's hand as I walk down the steps as we head back to our original seats. I got a lot of congrats and I politely said thank you each time and spoke to potential investors about my business.

During my meal i heard a muffled noise and turn to see Damien behind me

"Can I talk to you" Damien ask

"No" i cooly replied

"Listen to me I want to talk to you" he said rudely

"She said no the first time is there a problem" Zane said with a cold look and Damien challenging him

"Don't worry I will come instead of you two causing a scene at this charity event" 

Getting up I walk with him to a office like room and looked at him with annoyance

"What is so important that you must take me away from my food" I said

"How did you do it"

"Excuse me what are you talking bout"

"How did you start that business"

"Oh my bestfriend father was my first investor and I made back doubled of what I was suppose to so he added more investors building up to where I am but surely you didn't pull me from eating to ask something you could get answers from if you read the magazine or google so what's the issue" i say

"Why did you cheat on me"

"Pardon me"

"What evidence do you have to prove this"

"Look" he says showing me the picture from his phone

I was shock but I started laughing i mean whoever wanted to set me up did a pretty good job except for one detail I have three stars right behind my neck not only that but you can see the entire persons neck by the way she has the hair pulled on her shoulder

"That is not me" I say laughing

"What do you mean am I blind"

"You've been fucking me since we were married and you haven't noticed the three stars
tattooed behind my neck" I say pulling the my hair aside to show him

He looked as if someone rained on his parade but I didn't care

"You are completely stupid and gullible but you know what's funny for you to leave me and go to with a woman so openly before you asked the woman you claimed you loved"

"I..."

"I don't even want to hear your bullshit excuse you had a chance to ask but you thought I broke you vows when it was you who did goodbye" with that I left not looking back and told Zane I was ready to leave I really wanted to see my son.
