(30) You Have Some Nerve

Two days later 

Bucky and Cyn dropped their bags off at the brownstone that he shared with Zeke. They showered changed and left for the hospital. 

Bucky went into Harper's room when he saw that no one was in there. Cyn stayed in the waiting room. He swallowed hard seeing her like that once he was done they left the hospital. They went over to his parents house. 

"Hey mom, dad..Fin called me." He said 

SMACK

"Ah fuck mom what the hell was that for?" He said as he rubbed his face.

"You have some nerve to show your face now! And to bring her here unbelievable." Winnie said 

"First off I came here because Finley and Zeke told me it was bad. I got the first flight out and Cyn is my girlfriend so of course she came with me." He said 

"Where was this attitude months ago. Before you decided to up root your whole life and move to Sydney." James said 

Bucky looked down. "I made a choice dad. I know when I'm not wanted and when I need to walk away. Like now.." he said as he grabbed Cyn's hand and they left. 

He went over to Bobbi and Clint's house and got the cold reception from them. So he left there too. They went to the brownstone and crashed for the night. The next day he drove over to Emma and Vincenzo's house. 

"It may be best if you stay in the car." He said 

"Okay." She said as he kissed her.

Bucky went up to the door the maid answer it. Emma came into the foyer and she walked over to him. 

"Get out! My daughter is in a coma and now you decide to pull the father card again. She isn't a toy that you can toss to the side and only pick up when you want to." Emma said 

"It wouldn't be this way if you had included me in the first place. You know when you found out she was in your belly. So don't you dare act like I don't give shit! But once again what Princess Emma wants she gets doesn't she." He said 

"Enough!" Vincenzo yelled 

Bucky rolled his eyes. "I was starting to wonder if you cut your balls or vocal chords." Bucky said considering it was the first time he ever heard him speak. 

Vincenzo came over to him. "I will not have you disrespecting my wife in my own house. You need to leave now." Vincenzo said 

Bucky smirked. "Look Italian lover boy you may be screwing Emma and everything. But Harper is part me you may be raising her. But by blood that baby is mine so why don't you go back to being quiet." He said 

"She may have your blood you SOB but I didn't see you in the bookstore the day I met Emma and Harper. I didn't see you any where so who is the real daddy." Vincenzo said 

"You son of a Bitch!" Bucky snapped and punched him 

They both started throwing punches. The butler had to pull them apart. 

"I'm outta here Emma. You are dead to me! Dead!" He said as he walked out. 

Bucky and Cyn went back got their bags and left for the airport. Bucky was quiet all the way back to Sydney. When they returned home while she was in the shower Sam called Bucky. 

"Dude where are you? I thought you would be back in the NY office now?" Sam said 

"I'm not coming back there to stay. I only came in to check in on Harper. Sydney is my home now." He said as he sat down on the balcony. 

He lit up a cigarette and cracked open a beer as Sam said through speaker phone. 

"Look dude you need to get your head out of your ass. Grow up and be the dad she needs you to be instead of being with your off brand generic ass clone of Emma." Sam said 

"Dude I am not coming back to NY. I have made my decision. If everyone wants to hate me then that's fine I don't give a shit. Like I've told everyone I know when I'm not wanted and when to walk away. I know how it feels when people make you feel like you aren't good enough so why don't you all stop asking me to come home." He said 

"You know what Barnes..don't speak to me ever again. Unless it concerns the company we don't need to speak. I can't believe I ever called you a friend. Have fun with generic Emma. We got your daughter and I'm glad that Vincenzo is her daddy cause she deserves him not you." Sam said 

"Fuck off Sam." Bucky said as he hung up and drank his beer. 

Bucky finished off his beer and cigarette, what he didn't know was Cyn heard what Sam called her. He came inside to join her in the shower but she was already laying down.
