Chapter 5: Electrical Storm

As the herd walked through the forest, the sky became darker and darker as an odd purple haze settled over the woods as lighting flashed in the sky. Th wait began to thicken as electricity crackled among the trees

"Wow, the air feels strange" Diego said

Shira felt something on her foreleg and looked down at her foreleg, static electricity was running through her fur that caused her fur to puff up and crackle

"Uh... Diego?" Shira started as she held her paw up and stared at it

Diego held up his own and saw the exact same thing happened to him

"Hmm..." Diego hummed

Sid snickered as he tapped Diego's shoulder and pointed at Manny's hair and Diego also burst into laughter

"What?" Manny asked as he looked up and saw that his hair was all puffed up due to the static electricity

Within seconds, all of Manny's fur puffed out fur to the electricity

Sid and Diego laughed until a spark shocked his fur and his fur puffed out just like Manny's

Sid fell on his back as he almost died from laughter, until Manny and Diego shocked him and made the sloth join them

The possum twins were laughing at the sight, until they kept shocking each other, but they didn't puff

"Finally! We have superpowers!" Eddie cheered as he and Crash kept shocking each other

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have wondered into an electrical storm" Buck said as thunder rumbled as he suggested

"I suggest we all stay away from the trees"

"Sure, no problem. It's not like we're in a forest" Diego replied sarcastically

"Thunder continued to rumble and the lighting became more

Noa held Kai's arm as they walked carefully through the storm

Min cowered down at every rumble he heard and every lighting he saw

Suddenly, a loud thunderclap echoed throughout the forest as Min yelled and stayed close to Noa and Kai

As Buck walked, he kicked a stone that landed on another one and it created a electricity tail

"Everyone, try not to create any sort of friction" Buck warned as he pointed at the electricity tail

"No friction. Got it" Eddie replied as he and Crash were on top of Julian's back while they scurried their feet through his fur

"Yup. Cool beans. Friction is what now?" Crash asked as they both reaches out to shock each other again while purple electricity ran through their fingertips as everyone backed up

"Oh, no" Diego gasped as his eyes widened

As their fingers touched each other, a bolt of lighting shot up into the sky, booming and causing the static to erupt around them

"Come on! Let's get out of here" Buck yelled

"Hurry, Granny" Sid said as he was still puffy and tried to waddle out of the maze of electricity

"Don't you hurry me" Granny snapped as she poked his belly with her cane

"I've been struck by lightning more times-" Granny started as she got hit by lighting and lied on the ground

"Ahh! Granny!" Sid yelled as lightning hit again and this time, Granny was upright

"...than you've had hot breakfast" Granny finished
