[𝟸𝟹] - 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙱𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚕𝚎 𝚒𝚗 𝙷𝚊𝚠𝚊𝚒𝚒

Multiple gun shots and explosions were heard from inside the hotel. Vien's keen senses caught it and immediately looked at the direction of the hotel. Hindi lang naman siya ang nakarinig, marami pang estudyante ang nakarinig ng malakas na ingay galing doon.

'There's a fight in the hotel.' Vien thought.

Her feet wanted to bring her there immediately. She wanted to run to them. But she can't. May kasama silang dalawang bata. And they were ordered to go to the other place for safety. She knew they have to go there. Kailangan nilang malayo sa bakbakan, lalo na ang mga bata.

Papunta na ang mga studyanteng galing sa beach sa kabilang side ng Kalahuiupua'a Fishponds. They were going to the Beach Club part of the resort.

"Elise, sino yung NSASI?" bulong na tanong ni Vien sa kasama niyang si Elise.

"Si Kid. Head ng First Year NSASI officers. Kalaban ni Draven."

"Kalaban ni Draven?" medyo gulat pa na tanong ni Vien.

At ayun, may nakalap na naman siyang impormasyon. Ire-report niya ito kay Zariah matapos ang lahat ng ito.

Tahimik lamang silang dalawang nagbubulungan habang palihim na tinitignan ang likuran ng isang lalakeng nasa unahan, si Kid. Sa tindig palang niya, ramdam na ramdam mo ang charisma at otoridad.

Ilang minuto ang lumipas at maayos silang nakarating sa Beach Club. Inisa-isa nilang pinapasok ang mga bata sa isang lugar kung saan madali lang nila makita at maprotektahan sakaling may mga kalabang dadating.

Vien suddenly noticed two officers planting a tight lock on the doors. It was high-tech that it cannot be easily removed.

"Wait, what are you guys doing?" tanong ni Vien. Elise was still in there. Some students are.

"Don't worry. They're safe," someone said behind her.

Pagharap niya. Yung NSASI Head pala, si Kid.

"Anong nangyayari?" tanong niya sa lalake. The two officers immediately left for something. Sila nalamang dalawa ang naiwan sa harap nung building.

"There's an attack, obviously," pilosopong sagot nito. And Vien rolled her eyes.

Binangga niya sa balikat si Kid at naglakad na papalayo. 'They were protecting the kids from something. Are there enemies nearby?' tanong ni Vien sa sarili niya.

She can't utilize her watch, so she can't contact anyone from her team. Si Elise, nasa loob ng safe building kasama ang mga bata. It seems like some students were already oriented about something like this. Everything was just smooth. They immediately lock the doors without even notifying everyone but just those trusted.

"Vien Santiago. Zariah's teammate, right?" habol ni Kid sa kanya ng nakapamulsa.

"Yes, obviously," sarkastikong sagot ni Vien at binilisan ang lakad. Alam niyang naaalala siya ni Kid dahil nakasama niya itong hanapin si Stephen kanina.

"Can I have her contacts?"

'Luh, interesado ata ah?' Vien eyed him from head to toe.

"678 349."

"Lie. Give me the real one."

"Inuutusan mo ba ako?" taas kilay na tanong niya. 'How did he know I was lying? I was perfectly acting normal.' Then she immediately remembered that she was facing an NSASI. Lying is useless.

"I was asking nicely. And it's not what you think it is. I'm just an NSASI, nothing more. I'm asking for job purposes," he spoke, sincerely.

'Bullshit. If he's a Feign he's definitely good.' Vien eyed him a judgemental look.
