It was now 7 in the morning and the house was filled with noise of awakening people.

Javier, Antonio and I were sat in the living room; we were discussing the urgent form I had found when completing my work.

"¿Por qué estaríamos de acuerdo con esto? I mean, it's insane to think we would actually give him up like this." Javier voiced.
[translation: Why would he agree to this?]

"No es asunto nuestro. If the Don was going to agree to something like this and it involved us, he would say but clearly we're not involved." Antonio chimed in.
[translation: It's not our business]

"We're apart of his mafia- of course we're involved. Look, why don't we just ask the Don ourselves? I have the form, I haven't signed it yet. Also, what happened with the stolen coke?"

"I re. Turns out, they weren't all talk, no action."
[translation: the kings.]

"Have we got the coke and our gun shipments back now?" I asked.

Javier and Antonio both nodded.

Just as I was going to ask them where they had been stored, Don walked down the stairs and was about to head out of the mansion before I stopped him.

"Don, are you busy? There's something I needed to discuss with you." I said.

"What's the matter?"

"See for yourself." I replied.

I handed him the manila folder and watched his expression change as he read the letter.

"Mierda. Thank you, Lorenzo. I'll deal with this as there's no way that my life will be put on the line for such a petty agreement."
[translation: shit]

I hummed in agreement then shook his hand before he departed from the mansion.

Javier and Antonio had gone to fetch some men for us to take to the event at the Don's hotel and I needed to get ready.

When I went upstairs, I removed my t-shirt and replaced it with a black shirt that hung with the rest of my clothes. I buttoned it up and found some black trousers to compliment it.

When I had styled my usually messy hair and fixed up my face with some moisturiser, I headed downstairs with my shoes and black coat suit in hand.

The ten men were there; all in white shirts, black trousers and a coat suit like mine on top.

"Remember, this is legal business and we're going as representatives. Meaning no illegal talk, all business is above board and control your drinking. Stay alert of who you talk to and what goes on around you. Let's go."

We all left in four cars; me by myself and the nine others split into three cars. There were going to be other men stationed around the premises as security and one person (myself) would be with Rosalina. If the Don was absent, she would stand and make any speeches as well as dealing with any business related activities.

We arrived to the event and we're surrounded by cameras but I waited outside as instructed by the Don.

As organised, the driver rolled up and the back seat car door stopped in front of me. I opened it and held out my hand which was gracefully taken by Señora.

She stepped out of the car and thanked me before walking towards the hotel with me right behind her.

I stepped back and into my place when Don came and took his place beside his wife. He kissed her cheek, then turned to me.

"It's sorted." he mouthed.

I nodded at him then headed to the side of the hotel hall where I found some of the Don's legal business partners.

We shook hands and engaged in conversation quickly.

After some time, I excused myself and walked away from the event- not before snatching a champagne flute from a waitress' serving tray.

I walked through the halls, drinking it slowly when a shadow flicked past me in the corner of my eye.

I turned to look for them but there was nothing.

Thinking nothing of it, I continued walking before it happened again.

I remained calm and refrained from pulling out my gun.

I backed out of the hallway and quickened my pace as I reached the event hall.

I stayed in a corner, using a breathing technique I learnt to calm myself down. It had scared me slightly and I didn't know why.

"Enzo? You okay?" I heard a voice say.

I turned abruptly to see Antonio standing there.

I sighed then nodded.

"Just my mind playing tricks on me."

The crowd had grown significantly in size but I had nothing to worry about.

Hopefully.

Unknown POV

I watched him intently as he conversed with older businessmen. He masked his boredom with looks of fake interest and a confident aura.

He stood up tall and strong as he listened carefully despite having no interest. It intrigued me.

I knew him, but he didn't know me. He didn't know who I was, or what I was here for. He would never know. Not until I made my entrance to his life, whereas he had already made one in mine.

I walked away from the area and kept to the sides as I scanned the room for anyone that would recognise me.

None so far.

Getting bored of the scenery, I headed upstairs to where I had left my things.

I packed up my bag and placed my sniper, silencer and scope into their case.

Another time.

I slipped my jumper over my head and covered my tattoos. Those things would literally be the death of me if I ever got caught being here.

I didn't want to take any chances, especially since I didn't exactly have the rights to be in the country.

After what had happened, my whole life had changed and I had realised what I was meant to do. I realised what I had to do.

I was one person.

I was one woman.

But I would be the fall of the Italian Mafia.

And nothing would stop me.
